Hi ,

Maybe some of you noticed my thred asking about which game to get? Well as some of you may know I after practically a whole day of looking into stuff I bought TOTA expansion, I think this means with me having gciv 2 gold I have gciv2 + every expansion and I also own sins of a solar empire!

As explained the initial plan since I havent had much time to play gciv 2 at all was to do the original game + expansions in order. Now I come on these forums and see a thread up from frogboy saying TOTA got 5 out of 5 at gamespy!!!!! , you know something the only game I know that got maxed out review was the latest GTA , at least by modern standards, I havent ever played TOTA , or dark avator yet and even though I should play them in order temptation is getting the better of me lol what do you folks think I should do?

5 out of 5 is a dam epic achievement by anyones standards, I am pleased for SD because perhaps if more people followed Sds lead by spending less time on silly protection schemes and more time on game content well both us gamers and the companies would be better off. Really great achievement SD and having not even played the expansion I can tell Im in for a treat!

In the end, redwing, you have to choose yourself. The answer has to come from within.

I have said elsewhere that, even with the bugs, gltiches and flaws, I am glad to have supported Stardock by pre-ordering TOA, and derive enormous pleasure from it.

I have been playing 4x Strategy games since the days of EMPIRE and IMPERIUM GALACTUM in the 80's. Many games have been a disappointment. A few are fondly remembered forever--IG, Master of Orion I (and to a lesser extent II). Star Control I and II.

Galactic Civ II and its two expansions enter the hallowed company of the latter, IMO.

Woe nice! that you have played so many of these games and can say that. Its that dam 5 of 5 review , curiosity is getting the better of me lol. I think I will keep going with dread lords atm though but its gonna be temptation hell :) Wish I hadnt read of the review :)
