1.Where is it?
2.Is there a time table?
3.Whats being done to address balanceing issues?

1. We're waiting for IronClad to tell us.
2. We're waiting for IronClad to tell us.
3. We're waiting for IronClad to tell us.

Seriously, we won't know anything until they provide it. There have been a number of threads asking these things recently and the answer is always the same.

"When it's done."

They're probably busy working on the game! Although they should just skip out and go to Hawaii...

5 minutes to make a post, and 3 months for the forum to quite down when a feature that was listed in the topic doesn't make the patch.

And 10 hours to make sure that post says what they want it to say, and won't get them in trouble for saying it.

I'd hate for a misplaced word to convince people that XYZ is happening when XZY is what the devs actually said! (I've seen it happen before...)

Oh, and they really are busy with various things, like the Euro release and 1.1 that was mentioned in another thread.

Idk I still see a post here and there giving a back slap to topics.
Just nothing on it though.NOTHING.

We are busy working on 1.1.  The current time table is days/weeks.  Some of the balance issues that have been brought up are being addressed (no I do not have a list ATM).

Thank you, I appreciate the response. Now I know you guys didn't die of the rts plague or something.:)

Given the previously implied scope of 1.1, a timetable of days/weeks from now is actually pretty rapid turnaround.

Yeah I just hope with everyone going crazy we aint forcing them for a fast release because this game needs some content added as well :(. Looking at some of the other threads and the way its going I think its now going to be harder for them to just take their time and do an awesome patch.

Days? Weeks? That sounds rather encouraging. It almost sounds as though it's mostly done and they just want to playtest it a bit before releasing it.

I just hope it works out well and I know I sound like a broken record but I really like the way sins plays, I hope they havent done anything crazy like put limitations in that mean much faster games and finite resources. Either way I hope it all works out because I actually think sins is dam innovative despite its flaws.

Good luck with the patch :)

@Redwing
Were gamers were suppose to be a little crazy. We have delusions of commanding a space navy. The devs are gamers as well and they know what to expect. At least with IC anyway. All the banter back and forth on the forums. Thats what the forums are for, to state an issue or opinion, and be flamed back to the stone age. It's truly part of the fun I think. Some can be a little more tasteful than others. In all the talk though, I think the issues come through.
DEV's
If anyone has every read the Stars At War series. The phase line way of travel is similar to their warp lines.Point being they had close warp points you had to discover from one side. Maybe closed phase lines that you research to discover.Idk just an idea.

Wow! That is really fast. How in the world will I find time to get in ample amount of playtime with Twilight of the Arnor before SoaSE 1.1 comes out? :P

They are known for ignoring pressure to put out something that is not ready. I doubt they will do anything but say "your gonna have to wait, sorry" until they have it right.

Playtesting things "a bit" can take months depending on how many "WTF?" bugs slipped in. Just imagine the reaction is some misplaced line of code prevented autocasting from occurring for some insane reason.

Well lets just hope they aint going Valve Time here :)
so far so good though!

the patch is done.

There just being evil and not providing it because its just so awesomely fun to play online, and they want to make sure they can crush us all in mutiplayer when they do release it :)

I hope that the new update includes better modding, if not the "actual" mod tools that were promised months ago. I know I may be opening old wounds, but modding is getting difficult, and these tools would help in a big way. Anyways, I am looking forward to it, and hopefully they will give us modders the files before the actual release, like last time. This way we can get our mods ready for the update.

I guess Im in good company then :) . Yeah I think the modding tools need a fair bit off work as well.

I suppose on the positive side at least this is nothing like space force rogue universe forums, over there a patch took like 6 months and it ended up the patch was uber small and didnt even fix much of it. At least we know its getting worked on , Im spoiled at the momment :) , Im playing gciv 2 for the first time starting with dreadlords whilst I wait on the patch. (Im about to do apocalypse campaign mission, man those DL are tough and I have heard the mission Im on is worse! Just about to try it)

Anyways once again good luck with the patch, Im fine with the game but I would like to see it good enough so the majority are happy as that will mean more mp games and just be better all around. (I started to get worried when I was hearing some of the people from the top clans were thinking of moving on)

Only messin with ya Annatar11 but you have more karma than buddha :D

Bad, bad Ron

Hey, I've heard of worse things. For example, in early versions of Space Empires V, you could have planets join your fleets -- which allowed them to take off across the galaxy, gallivanting with the rest of your fleet!

A version 1.041 hotfix will be released this coming week that addresses the various legitimate desync and crash issues people have found since v1.04.

After that, we'll be working on releasing a beta of v1.1 which will be optional for people. The final release of v1.1 will come sometime later (after we're happy it's solid) since it includes a ton of stuff.
