This election has got my head spinning!!

Yeah you are proably thinking one more election article and I am not going to read it. Well read this one it is different.

I never really understood election and I could care less.
This election however is different than all the rest I could remember last election I could try to remember but any past then do even have a clue.
They say so many mean and cruel things on T.V. about the other canitidate no wonder why our world doesn't have peace.
I mean all people talk about is about somebody else in a negative comments. People who try out for Miss United States, when they are asked what would you want to change in the world 50% change they are going to say WORLD PEACE.
If people out there want world peace so badly they need to start with the little things first.
People always say it is the little things that are the hardest to fix.
These two candiate aren't showing a very good example for little kids who watch T.V see these candiate telling negative things about each other.
I was watching Seventh Heaven last night.
If you were watching you would know what I mean.
Everybody on that show was calling each other names because what they thought about the election.
The two little boys were calling each other stupid because of what they saw on T.V.
Kids are more likely to do what they see other than what they here.
So if they see somebody calling the other person stupid they are going to think it is alright because a grown up was doing it and you are suppose to listen to them if that is what they were taught.
Anyways~
What were got me on this subject in the first place was what I was told.
A teacher at one of the schools not my school. She teachs 1 grades. Told her class to go home and tell there parents not to vote for Bush because he takes money out of the school. Another teacher who teachs I think 3 told her students not to vote for Bush because if he stays as President that we would have another draft and boys that are 18 would be sent over seas and killed.
What are these teachers thinking about telling kids in these young grades about what might happen.
Aren't teachers suppose to stay neutral in this type of thing. Yes they can have an opinion on what they think you they will vote for but shouldn't say anything like that to little kids like that who don't know better.
Kids in High School have more common since than Elementary Kids, they know truth from lies. My teacher we decussed it in your S.S Class about the election but we brought in things that we found and decussed them to see if they were true or not and we watch part of the debate.
Everybody can have an opinion you just have to watch what you say to different type of people.
What do you think?

Most teachers unions support Mr. Kerry because of the drop in educational funding over the past couple of years (in real dollar terms). Bush is also perceived as not emphasizing education and is not seen as a very educated man, although that perception is not true. Bush supports alternative and private education that threatens public education. So, even those teachers that I talk to that support Bush on foreign policy are very concerned with the Bush administration's neglect (in their words) of public education.

There is no doubt the country is very divided between the candidates. War tends to do this. For example, when the American Revolution began Americans were about 50-50 in favor of independence. Woodrow Wilson ran in 1916 for President on the platform "He Kept Us Out of War" then took the nation to war less than 12 months after he was elected.

So expect bitterness and vote instead of the candidates in terms of 1) which man has the best proposals that favor your life balanced with 2) which man will work the hardest for the most people. That should lead you to where you want to go.

Yeah, god forbid teachers actually give kids a sense of reality.

The main problem is that the teachers ALL belong to a union. And since GW hates unions everyone of them is doing what they can to make sure he doesn't get re-elected.

That could well be and maybe they should. But come on dude, a 1st grader? Get real! 1st graders don't need to hear that kind of sh**.

I don't even think that a 1st grader cares who Bush or Kerry is or who gets elected!

That besides the point. They don't *even* need to hear it

So, teachers should be spewing forth their politics upon their students? Does this also apply to conservative teachers?
