Ascendency crystals

Hi all,

I was very surprised about the ascendency crystals. They have a great impact on the game. Too great if you ask me.

Can these crystals be turned off in the game options?

You can disable the 'ascension' victory in the game setup screen. Doing so also eliminates the crystals.

crystals are too powerfull?

I think they need to require tech. Like terror stars they mess up a game (just played for 4 hours a game that i planned to play for like 40-50 hours and the dregnin got 1 crystal and started to get a count down... and it did not stop when they sold it to me.

so they are bugged right now (your supposed to need 5 of them i thought to even start that)

I say put in a new tech tree and make crystals like the terror stars in the fact that there are multiple techs to research to get it.

This way a Enemy has to want to do that way to win and not just cheese it out.

Each crystal gives one Ascension point per turn. There is no lower or upper limit on the countdown.
