Hey guys, figures I should write an article or something so you know I haven't yet fallen off the face of the earth. (Luckily that gravity theory seems to be holding out. :D)

It's finals week for me and I've spent about 5 or 6 hours today grinding through the ACS guidebook for my organic chemistry exam on Tuesday.  Still got a few more chapters to go...but I can knock it out in a couple more hours tomorrrow...and then I'll go through it again to make sure I understand exactly what the hell I'm doing.  *sigh*  Such a pain.  I'm going to dedicate tomorrow morning to statistics before I revert back the wonderful world of o-chem.

Ah...chem Tuesday, economics Wednesday, statistics Thursday, and a rousing cell bio exam on Friday.  Then I'm getting the out of here, going home and playing GTAIV....can't really think of a better way to celebrate the ending of finals...but then again I am a huge nerd. :CONGRAT:

Sorry about the lack of my A.A.F.'s, JUWC contributions, and my occasional random ramblings...been kinda busy, but maybe I can whip up something next week or whenever, provided my crappy internet at home doesn't drive me insane before I can publish anything. (Seriously, I'd be better off drawing a damn webpage than waiting for it to load. :P )

So...that's all that's really up with me...doing one of the things I loathe most of all- studying. :(

 

Oh well, I'll get through it...I just like to bitch along the way. :D

Are you sure that its not FSM with one of his noodly appendages resting on your head that is holding you down. As it isn't written, so shall it be not... ;)

Good luck with the finals, mate and with all the study you have to do leading up to them. I remember study... I remember not liking it very much at all. Hope it all goes well for you, though.

I agree with ASaxyGirl; you're not a nerd but you're definitely a geek (as am I). Enjoy GTAIV (I'm not a fan of the game myself).

Take some time and go see Iron Man too. It is well worth it (assuming you like superhero-type movies).

Finals do not last forever (even though they seem to at times). Good luck with them. A week from now, you will be wondering what you were stressing about! 2 years from now, you will miss them!

Hmm, well I reckon I do have a few social skills lying around here somewhere...eh, geek it is. :)

I have to complete my micro final tonight. Then the dreaded research proposal.

Hmm, I'll have to check it out.  I do seem to have a habit of watching superhero movies for some reason....not sure why, I guess their allure is just too strong. :)

My chem prof is crazy.  She said this in an email she sent us just a bit ago:

"May your dreams be no more disturbing than Kekule's who figured out the structure of benzene and how it could be aromatic, in a sort of dream-like state."

I wish I could be that kickass at chemistry to decipher benzene. :)

Eh, I'm hanging.  This o-chem one was the most tedious by far...expecting me to remember all the little nuances of an entire year's worth of material...blech.  Although to guarantee a B in the class all I had to do was get 36 out of 70...which should be the case, if not better.  Stats might be a bit of a bitch as well...but at least we get a formula sheet. :D

Econ and cell bio aren't bad at all...so, not freakin' out there. :)

The dude was this German guy who would write the mechanisms with his right hand and follow behind with an eraser in his left hand.

Ouch.  Luckily we get all of our notes online. :)  We're supposed to print them out and fill'em out with all the extra stuff in lecture...I just keep writing it all down in a notebook...I learn better if I write stuff down. :D

I hated stats as an undergrad but like them now as a grad student...go figure. I think I found the story in the numbers. Pretty cool when you're writing up your research.

I'm pretty indifferent to stats.  I understand it all...but there's really no joy in there for me. :P

Econ...took it, you can have it. Bleh!

In high school I would've agreed wholeheartedly...but if you give it a chance it's not that bad...then again, the prof does have a knack for keeping your interest.  Supply, demand, labor, markets, monopolies...woo! :)

Cell bio...that's my cup o' tea!

I prefer my biology on the macro scale...these tiny structures and gazillion proteins...*shudder*  We have to memorize all these "ten dollar words" as my prof says...which means all these fun technical names for...y'know, everything.  Then we have to fill in the blank...and there's absolutely no word bank. :P  All from memory.  Huge, huge pain in the ass.  Good to know, but still...I'd rather go back to bones, muscles, organs, and nerves. :)

 

My finals are done, Baybee!

Awesome...well, awesome for you. :D 

3 more exams for me...can't wait until this stuff is over. :P

I think I did pretty well, if I do say so myself.

Statistics tomorrow morning, cell bio Friday at half past noon...just two more and then it's GTAIV time and hours of foul language, strip clubs, and hooker killing. :CONGRAT:

I have to finish this proposal so I can get back to WoW! My Blood Elf priesty is just hanging out idly. Gotta keep her out of trouble, ya know.

It always sucks when real life takes away from your virtual one.  I keep complaining, but no one seems to listen. ;)

Look on the bright side at least you're not taking another exam.

BTW .. I have been through your little small town before. Years ago though. My brother used to go to Hocking Hills College in Nelsonville. He had to roommates one from Logan and another from McArthur. Well, one day when I was down there we went to pick up his McArthur roommate in Zaleski and ended up in every town but Zaleski like 3 hours later we finally got there. :D
