Iron Man makes for a fun flick

Iron ManTook the opportunity to go catch Iron Man on the medium screen (supposed to have been a big screen, but was showing in one of the smaller type movie houses so still not what I'd call an actual big screen...) yesterday.  Definitely a fun flick and worth the price of admission.  The action is good, story was not bad, and the movie delivers what the comic book fans or even casual action movie fans would be looking for.[more]

Go see it and when you do, stay until the very end of the credits.  People that leave before the credits have finished are missing a last little clip that is well worth catching.  :CONGRAT:

Oh that sucks!  I just left from seeing it and didn't wait for the credits!  What'd I miss?

I really liked the whole middle east touch...very nice...even how the bald headed guy (can't remember his name) didn't make suits for the enemy....just took what he wanted...Jeff Bridges is a GREAT bad guy.

Never mind just looked it up....I'm not a big comic book fan so I don't think it woulda made too much sense to me.

We saw it last night and enjoyed it immensely but, dammit, didn't stay right till the very end of the credits as the ligths went up early so we didn't think there was any more.

Oh, well, it will definitely be a movie we'll get on DVD in the future so we'll get to see it eventually.

Rose and I saw it last night. I really enjoyed it. It was better than I thought it would be. I liked Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. I'm ready for Part 2 already. :)

When I first heard about the movie, I thought - 'Oh great, another great comic book icon for them to screw up, just like Daredevil . . . just like Elektra.' As hot as Jennifer Garner was in both of them (as hot as she always is, babeh) it wasn't enough to save either of them.

But then I heard that Robert Downey, Jr. had been cast as Tony Stark. And what a great decision it sounded like, and according to those who have seen it, what a good performance.

Just wait until the next two movies - if there's anyone who can portray Tony Starks' alcoholism with candor and realism, it's him.

I mean, just watch his performance in the impeccably weird 'A Scanner Darkly' and you'll see how his past substance abuse has made him that much better of an actor.

i really badly wanna watch it. i love robert downey jr., and to see him as a superhero must be amazing. i hope its a good script cuz robert has never delivered a bad performance in his life. its good to watch good actors, not physically very well built to bring a certain amount of brains to superhero films. others in this category, the very good tobey mcguire(peter parker was more worth watching than spiderman, something that has never happened before) and the incredible christian bale

We got there early as I screwed up the time. Which was not bad as the theater was full! But we had our normal seats! I wish I could say it was boffo, but sadly my mind was elsewhere. My son really liked it however!

And we did stay through to the end. Only about half a dozen of us did though.
