Games for Impulse

StarDock announced that Impulse will be a great digital distribution platform by the end of the year and that many games will be downloadable from it.

I'd instantly buy The Witcher for example. The only reason I didn't get it yet is the really sucky DRM it uses. I won't install crap like that on my drive. If it is ever available DRM-free on Impulse I'd buy it right away.
Another great game would be Supreme Commander (which might even be realistic, right?). If StarDock ever got Blizzard on board that would also be soo awesome. Too bad it probably won't happen.
If released DRM-free on Impulse I'd probably also buy Company of Heroes.

Which games would you really love to see on Impulse?

We'd love to see The Witcher too, but right now CD Projekt's plans are to hold off on digital distribution of it until their new version is released later this year (which makes sense). :)

Yarlen, don't they already have a DD of The Witcher (maybe it's only available in Europe)?

I like to see the new version of The Witcher on impulse.

DRM free/copy protection free or not

I'm going to buy it.

but yes it is a plus in the book if it was DRM free/copy protection

How about some older games? Like the Alien vs Predator series or the Runaway adventures ... Having some nice older games available online would be nice. The older Eldar Scrolls games (esp. Morrowind + addons) would also be interesting.

Oh and I forgot Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. I'm looking for that one for quite a while now and it's really hard to find ;)

About The Witcher: I thought it is already on Stream ... but I was told even when installing via Steam it uses that ridiculous bug-infested copy-protection that is probably responsible for most of the game crashes so no way I'm buying it there.

This one is on Steam. Witcher isn't, though, as far as I know.

The Witcher isn't on Steam yet but it is on Metaboli. Metaboli is UK/Europe only tho'.

There were some rights issues with the game. Atari held them, but CD Projekt's worked on getting them back. They're not going to sign the game elsewhere until the new edition is ready.

I know Dark Messiah is on Steam. But I don't like Steam for two reasons:

1. DRM policy. I could maybe forgive that but ...
2. Restriction of german customers. We have retarded laws in geramny that restrict computer games for under-aged and Steam censores based on IP address. So even being >18 years old I have no way to play the uncensored game on Steam because Valve is just as retarded as our politicians that made those stupid laws (which only apply to <18 so there _should_ be a way to get rid of the censorship for me).

I will never ever buy a game from a service that directly supports censorship and that only offers me half a product based on my IP address. Go and die, Steam.
