beta x64 Compatible? buy?

I'm currently using OD 1.9 free and am pretty happy with it.  There are a few minor bugs that may/may not be vista x64 related, but the functionality is there and works well.  Being that the start menu is not x64 compatible I've found that kkmenu is a good replacement, however, kkmenu system tray and the system tray docklet on wincustomize will not work for me.  So I'm still stuck with the taskbar. On to my question...

I understand that purchasing OD+ allows you to download the stable 1.9 or the beta 1.95, correct?  How compatible are these with vista x64 home premium? Will system tray/tabs/flyouts work with 1.95? Ignoring money, is it worth it to just wait until 2.0? (It seems that could take quite a while)

Another note, which I will post elsewhere is...why is there not a compatibility chart visible from the products page and at least an OS compatibility mention anywhere before a purchase?  It's unfair to expect a buyer to fish through the forums before hand to find out this information...I'm not upset, but I understand how others can be, this is the reason I am trying to refund my Object Desktop Ultimate purchase.

Edit: I'm not angry and wouldn't want to start an argument, the above paragraph was just my opinion and comes with the territory of developing a Paid program, customers will expect more.  At least to be told you are paying for something that is only stable and working on xp, etc.

I'm glad you like OD, I do too...to an extent.

Yep, purchasing gives you access to stable (not really, though) build of OD+ 1.9, also the beta through Stardock Central and alpha through Impulse. Be aware though, those are not any kind of build of 1.95, they are still 1.9. And therefore I won't say anything about 1.95 because it's literally nowhere to be seen.

In terms of waiting....hmmm, that's a tough one. And it's not being made by the fact that there is no clear idea of where things are going and/or what the roadmap is. Speculatively speaking, that information is not "ready for public consumption". Having used OD+ for almost 2 years, I'm guessing that by the looks of things any kind of stable new version is not likely to arrive this year. That's of course basing the assumption on the fact that it's not even on Coming Soon list on Stardock's site. In fact, it was there and then it was yanked off it faster than you can say Jack. So the ball is in your court now, a lot depends on your patience because you'll need shipping containers full of that with room to spare.

About compatibility...this one is easy as pie (cherry, preferably). Go here: OD product page and click on the far right tab half way down the page called System Requirements. And you're done! As you can see so far only 32-bit OSes are officially supported by the stable build. Some people said here in forums that 64-bits works for them but if you wish to dip a toe in that pool you'll be on your own. Once again, your choice.
