Could we get a downloadable copy of the TA disc?

Please...

I thought it would be really cool if you can upload a downloadable copy for owners of the digital version of TotA we can download and burn on a CD by ourselves. The backup option is not as "elegant" as an installable disc version. But i also do not really want to pay 20$ shipping costs for a cd in a paper sleeve. So maybe you can provide owners of TA like me with the ability to download an installer version of TotA to put on physical media by themselves.

I'd really like to see that too.

Not that Stardock pays much attention to pirates, but that just hands them the game on a silver platter. The archiving functionality works pretty well, and I suspect this will be the method they continue to use.

Just like some other popular electronic delivery system...

Sorry, we don't provide ISOs as a general rule.

Lol, i wonder if this guy is a pirate. Not saying you are but many pirates come on and say this on other sites.

I am able to install GCII Gold and keep it on my HDD and play it with full functionality without any need of a CD. If i only want to play it a few days and then let it rot on my HDD i would borrow it somewhere, install it and never bother buying it.
But having a legitimate key gives me the ability to profit from the excellent support SD provides for its customers. I never have seen anything like this - this forum just give us gamers the ability to interact with the programmers in the process of development and upgrading and we can give our feedback directly to the people that count. This absolutely does justify the price i paid for GalCivII + all expansions. I just wanted to have some physical media i can come back to and maybe make my own design for - i am just a bit materialistic you know ;)

And i do not really know where the point is - there is just a small difference between being a pirate, buying the game, getting it shipped and make your own iso and being a pirate, buying the digital game, downloading the iso and having not to start your burning software. I do not really see the point why legitimate buyers should not be able to create their own physical copy of the game.

But of course i will respect what Kryo said. too bad... =(

I don't see the point either :-(

Does anyone know the shipping cost for germany?

Bei 30$ also etwa nochmal 3-4€ drauf.

International shipping is USD$20. That's quite a bit different from £20.

Plus customs charges as i told him already. I paid additional 17% of the price for the game. Thats for germany.
And one question - if i already ordered TA, paid, downloaded it and would decide to get a CD sent to me - would this be possible if i pay the 20$? Will it then be possible to declare it as a "present", so i do not have to pay customs charges? I mean i own it already, somehow it is just a present if i decide to let it be sent to me ;)
