perpixel loggoff dialogbackground

hmm for some reason my perpixel logg off dialogbackground is not working right.

1 in the code i have added trans=1, perpixel=1, hide text=1

ive also had to 'force' the bmp loggoffdialogbackground to be a bmp, it keeps applying as a tng file, so not sure why that is happening either.....first time ive had this problem.  The perpixel loggoff dialog background applies in its proper format, just the bmp is acting queer..

plus the text 'log off computer' is still there despite me turning it off..........

xp skin in sk5.

I don't know if it is any help but for me I know everytime I use the PerPixel back ground it pretty well diables the .bmp but recently I have had to delete my .bmp image so the PerPixel image would show every time.It started showing the .bmp randomly.

Also SK is right I have noticed a correlation between the screenmask and the dialog image!

Image=vexa\logoff.tga
HideText=1
Trans=1
PerPixel=1
SimpleMode=3

Capitals maybe important!

I found it! :) Change the name off your PerPixel image to something like Logg
Then reimport add the hide text again if not there and it will work!
The name had too many character(spaces count)working on the other :)

Add one in, I believe A/V is right and that there is an interaction between the two. I usually add a screenmask anyhow cause I think thier pretty cool looking and add a little spice to it. But, its been so long since I first messed around with it but seems that was the case.

Kitty... did you point SKS to the renamed logoff screen? I have had to shorten names on some of my stuff too. Generally, what I do is this: go to the windowblinds folder, open the folder for your blind, right click on the image for your logoff screen, select re-name, shorten the name. Then open the blind in SKS, go to the section with the logoff screen, click the logoff screen, then scroll down to where the re-named image is (it is usually way down at the bottom), select it, and voila!...you should have the logoff screen back.

2 questions....do you have the non per pixel ones skinned too? and why do you have to have the per pixel background be a bmp??? I thought they HAD to be png converted to tga.

This is really weird! I don't use a screen mask. I also do not have the SimpleMode=3 line in my code. I don't know if those settings may be part of the problem or not.

I'm curious to find out what SK comes up with...

Notice in log off no pixelation ---SimpleMode=3 means show true size
in shut down you have 1 extra button you can play with the sizing margins though!

ok, its working.... I opened it in SKS6 on my vista machine and the only thing I noticed was that the 'hide logoff text' was not check so I changed that and re-zipped it as a '.wba'. I then moved it to my XP machine and reopened in SKS5 and the files were not 'set' for the perpixel background. they were IN the skin but thats all. So I set them and its working now.

I did not actually take a look at the code itself.. so seeing Kitty has a 'copy' of the old and new files maybe she can post that.

-------------------------------------

A few tips on the logoff and shutdown section.. some related to this in a way, some not...

-1- The 'flag' image can be a single 1x1 pixel image but it must be a solid colored (not magic pink) bmp. You can use a full sized magic pink image but you still have to have that 1x1 pixel in it that is not magic pink.

-2- The 'Cancel' but is a bit of a pain. You can not move it or remove it. It also uses whatever you have as the 'push button'. As a 'background' on the perpixel the button uses the non-perpixel background as a sort of 'base'. All this taken you should compensate for these things in some manor.

-3- You should have a non-perpixel background in your skin. If you don't WB will auto use the ugly Luna one (eww, and sorry for the poor souls who don't have the ability to see/use the perpixel ones). Also keep in mind the above mentioned cancel button. I've also noticed in the past that if NO image is set for the non-perpixel background that SKS6 in the past has had problems reading the whole section.

Thanks, SK, for posting the fix for kitty's blind, and for your tips on the logoffs/shutdowns. Should prove to be very helpful for folks. (Fortunately, I don't have problems with those...at least not so far)!  :)
