There are no plans to remove either of these two design features - ever...You ever thought of using a Mac? It would solve all your problems...
Why do you like to spill gas in my direction? You know I have no problem lighting the match?

The issue I have with these "design features" as you call them (why is it even a design feature, what positive purpose does it provide... nothing) is that Aero supports both of these capabilites. Since SD likes to pride itself on working "closely" with native OS capabilities I find it rather weird that it would undo something like this. If you guys want to limit this support in XP due to per pixel, fine... but Vista doesn't need limitations put on it when the OEM skinner doesn't have do so. I've beat this issue to death several times over in the past and thanks again Fuzzy for making me do it again. My initial question could have been answered without the smart remarks (aka gas).

However, as of late no one, not even Neil has made a public statement on why it so damn hard to just support the native features of an OS while improving on them. You had the limitation in XP, you no longer have that now... time for a change and less excuses. Make two versions if you must for each OS.
