few questions

hello,

i think i have a few miconceptions regarding galciv2/dark avater and some questions arised:

1) High Money Strategy for planets:

what do i build on a planet if i want it to generate as much money as possible ? when i try building a farm to generate more taxes i usually have a significant drop in approval and the revenue from the tax doesnt really seem that lot more.

2) Mining income:

when i have asteroid mining bases connected to my planet, where can i go to see how much income they generate for the planet ?

3) Trade routes:

in my last game it seemed that the ai was able to put multiple freighters onto the same route. how can i do this ?

thanks

1) You need to build econimic buildings (market centers, etc) en mass. Your taxes come from population, so that is important too. To keep your population happy, you need to build moral buildings (entertainment center, etc). You can hover your mouse over the approval rating of a planet to see what is effecting it. Some planets have bonuses to moral for various reasons and thus are better for raking in the cash.

These buildings must be balanced with a proper tax rate and any econimic/moral/food techs or resources that you have aquired.

2)You don't earn income from mining astroids. These mining bases only give you additional industry points. You don't have to pay for them however, so they don't really effect the bottom line.

As for mining the green econimc resources with starbases, those effect your overal economic power/rating and thus act as a civ wide bonus to all income.

3) A trade route has 2 freighters, I believe, that travel it. That is to say that an enemy must destroy two of them for the trade route to be canceled. That number may be dependent on the quality of the route. You can make multiple routes along the same path by sending multiple trade vessels from the same starting planet to the same ending planet.

1. The more people, the more overcrowding, the more SIGNIFICANT DROP in approval. Economic buildings are what you need. Nothing wrong with maybe 10 billion people, but it's harder to keep them happy.

2. They give you industry points.

3. Once a freighter arrives at a planet, it is consumed. Then, the 'minifreighters' travel the route. CommanderGizmo explains the rest well.

thanks for clearing thoose things up :P

i got another question tho:

when talking to other races i never have an option to form an alliance with another race. there is just no entry in the treaty list for that, even tho i have researched alliances and actually the whole yellow tree.

do i need to build something for that option to become available ?

thanks.

to make an alliance you and the nation you wish to ally with must have the tech alliance----plus you must have the close relationship also

Exactly.

Requirements for Alliance:

Both parties MUST have the Alliance technology.

The parties must have a 'Close' relationship. (the highest level)

Read https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Relation_Factors

In fact, I recommend the entire site.
