Logon Studio Editor is messing up the original

Using Logon XP

Most of the time when i try to edit a premade logon (e.g White System) in the logon studio. The log on is always represented pretty crappy in the editor. The user menu looses its place, the frame wont be displayed at all, and the buttons get crappy. Even when i dont change anything (e.g background), just to click on edit (to see how its done) and than hit save and apply, the whole thing is out of place, and lost graphic quality for the user menu.

How does this happen. Are those Logon`s made with Logon XP or Logon Vista and than resampled to Logon Xp?

That is becuase those logons are not made with logon studio and are mainly deited only through the UI and INI files. If you just load the file with logon studio it is fine. But editing will change those files and destroy the logon completely to where it is not able to be repaired.
You would need to learn how the UI and INI files are written to edit any such logon.
There is NO Program Editor for such!

White System is a splash style logon, you can't edit a splash logon in editor, you must do it in the UIFILE.

My second try was (using white system)

1. Extract the logon file
2. Exchanging the bmp (i didnt rename it, just replaced it)
3. Create logonxp file using Winrar

Now when i try to load it using logon, i get "unable to open file"

where is the mistake?
In the repacking?

or because of the change? But the background file is exactly the same name, bmp, image size, values, just that it looks different

@bichur

txs. deleting the files was the problem. i actually deleted them, but they had been still in the folder. and only got deleted from the logon menu.

Works like a charm after deleting. :CONGRAT:
