ram usage on widgets

I actually did another post in general about 3 days ago, I reckon it is in the wrong forum, anyway can anybody help me configure the widgets or sysmetrix to show ram usage, or is it a mission or too hard for a lay person like me.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanx Skinners

There are two ways to show Ram usage in DX.
The first is to use the plugin. DX Documentation
You'll create a new object, add the perf meter to AdditionalAbilities, and configure it with color or images and on the second tab choose a data source.

The other is in code calling WMI: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/documentation/DX-sbs-5.asp

If you have other, more specific questions, go ahead an post them here.

Since you seem to like the make it easy for you way, here you go. An easy way to take advantage of other people's work is to go to the DesktopX Widgets Gallery and type "meters" (no quotes) in the search box or click the WWW Link. I have a favorite one here Blister Pack WWW Link.

Sysmetrix can display ram usage but, whether it does, depends on the theme author. If the author included ram usage in their theme then Sysmetrix will show it. Sometimes you might have to check the theme with your mouse to find it because of the theme design. That should get you started in the right direction. Just go to the Sysmetrix theme gallery, download and install a few and have fun. :D

Download & install the Sysmetrix program WWW Link

The Sysmetrix library here on WC has literally hundreds of skins which display the ram usage. WWW Link

Download one you like, unzip the file and there should be a file with a .smx extension. It will install just by dbl clicking on it.
