Yardsign warfare

I live in The Woodlands, just north of Houston. For an idea of the area, you can check Link. And now we're at war with someone that dislikes Bush/ Cheney - they keep stealing our yardsigns.

It happened between 4am and 11am this morning... all the Bush/ Cheney yard signs dissappeared. No other politically oriented yard signs were taken from the neighborhood, just the Republican oriented signs. I guess Im not allowed to have a political point of view that differs from whoever is stealing our signs?

Well, it doesn't matter, my wife and I have a stockpile of signs, and a new one, exactly like the old one, is out and on display. And now that I know we're a target, I'll be watching tonight. :)

The sign survived the night thanks to a little vigilance...about 3AM a car stopped and I stepped out of the garage. I cant say for certain that they were going to take the sign, but it seems strange that once I came into the light they drove off.

The battle continues.

HAHA! That's awesome! Next time take a camera with you. It doesn't matter if you have film or can get a good shot. Just the flash alone should scare them off and maybe make them think about coming back...

I didnt wait all night in the garage, but I was able to leave the window blinds open to see what was going on outside as I caught up on this weeks DVR shows. When I saw the lights I exited through my darkened garage then popped the outdoor lights on.

Digital camera is a good idea, Ill keep it close tonight (its a 3 day weekend, I dont think this is over yet).

What's the problem here?

Looks like you have an Intimidator in your neighborhood. Just hire a Fixer and he'll take care of him.

We put up a sign today, too. It is a KerryEdwards sign and we live in strong Bush area, plus there are some conservative (they have a Bush Cheney sign) vandals that actually lit are back yard on fire with gasoline a few years ago because they were bored.
So i'm just waiting for it to be gone so we can put up another one 10 minutes later.

Best of luck to you, too! I think it's really low class to come to someone's house like a coward in the night and steal a sign because you don't like the candidate you support!
