Barak Obama, Empty Suit!

Barak Obama, Empty Suit!

An Original thought would cause him to have a brain melt down!

This is why An Empty Suit Like Barak Hussein Obama appears to be such a powerful speaker! He has done his home work, or has more than likely had his lackeys do it for him and has copied the speaking patterns of four of the most powerful speakers of the last 65 years. The only Powerful speaker he left out was Adolph Hitler, but I am sure if he thought he could get away with it he would have used Adolf as a role model too!.

Basically he is much like the dummy a ventriloquist holds on his lap while the man does the speaking. If he had an original thought I believe his brain would explode.

1. Hold Out Hope

Like Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama speaks in the uplifting rhetoric of hope. After his defeat in New Hampshire, Obama’s political oratory was so hopeful he sounded more like a winner than a runner–up. Obama knew a hopeful message would embolden his supporters. In a speech on Jan. 8, 2008, Obama said, “We know the battle ahead will be long. But always remember, no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change… We have been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.” Except when you are running on a platform of pie in the sky politics.

You are the leader people want to believe in. Your customers and employees are bombarded by bad news – the credit crunch, a housing slump, an economic slowdown – but they are eager to hear something positive. That doesn’t mean leaders stick their heads in the sand – far from it. Inspiring leaders acknowledge the situation but also remind people of reasons to be optimistic.

2. Use Rhetorical Devices

Many observers say Obama sounds like King. This is because he uses some of the same techniques that made King an electrifying speaker. Barak Obama is not fit to scratch Kings butt, and King was a liar himself, King for one was not a dr. of anything. His name was not even Martin Luther. King also ripped off the " I have a dream speech" from another pastor!

Parallel structure. We can thank the ancient Greeks for this rhetorical tool – they called it “anaphora.” It simply means repeating the same word or expression at the beginning of successive sentences or phrases. One of the most famous examples is King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed…. I have a dream that… I have a dream…” Obama uses the same device frequently. In his Iowa victory speech on Jan. 3, Obama said, “You have done what the cynics said we couldn’t do. You have done what the state of New Hampshire can do in five days. You have done what America can do in this new year.”

Anaphora’s sister technique is called “epistrophe.” It is the repetition of a word or expression at the end of successive sentences or phrases. For example, in Obama’s New Hampshire speech, the expression “Yes, we can” rallied thousands of supporters when used like this, “It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation: Yes, we can. It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail towards freedom through the darkest of nights: Yes, we can. It was sung by immigrants as they struck out for distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness: Yes, we can.”

Alliteration. Both Kennedy and King were fond of this device that strings together words starting with similar sounds. At the 2004 Democratic National Convention keynote speech that brought Obama to prominence, he said, “Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or do we participate in a politics of hope?” In 2005, during a commencement speech at Knox College, Obama described America as “a place where destiny was not a destination, but a journey to be shared and shaped…” When speaking at the Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars in August, 2006, Obama proclaimed, “The history of America is one of tragedy turned into triumph.” In January’s New Hampshire speech, Obama used alliteration again: “We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics.” My Sentence would be " We have been lied to by the leader of losers"

Rich Imagery. Persuasive speakers have long understood the power of imagery to stir emotions – the creation of mental pictures through the words. In his 2004 speech, Obama described what he meant by the audacity of hope: “It’s the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs, the hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores, the hope of a young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta, the hope of a mill worker's son who dares to defy the odds, the hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too.”

3. Exude Confidence

In debates Obama appears unflappable, answering tough questions while maintaining strong eye contact. He doesn’t fidget or shake his head when listening to sharp attacks from his opponents. While seated, he leans slightly forward. People will make an impression of you after only a few seconds. Pay attention to what your body is saying. Communicate confidence, competence, and control. He has been schooled well, I wonder how much money he spent on trying to appear as though he is cool under pressure? I would like to see a debate with heart and blood pressure machines hooked up to the candidates so we can really see who maintains their cool and who is just APPEARING TO BE COOL!

4. Use Dynamic Vocal Delivery

A monotonous speaking style lulls the listener to sleep, regardless of the power of the content. Obama knows how to enhance his delivery. Consider these three aspects of his delivery.

Pacing. Obama varies the speed at which he speaks. Very few sentences are delivered at exactly the same pace.

Volume. In his victory speech after the Iowa caucuses, Obama raised the volume of his speech with each sentence in the following paragraph: “We are one nation. We are one people. And our time for change has come.” Each sentence slightly louder than the one preceding it.

Pauses. Nothing is as dramatic as a well–placed pause, and Obama knows it. He pauses at key moments to make a memorable impact. If only he would pause, period!

And you have proof of this? Oh wait! Those black helicopters outside your door are the proof!

You are a great comedian, even more so when you contradict yourself, in the same blog! Keep it up! We have not had this much fun since Clinton was trying to figure out the meaning of is!

It is strange that the democrats supported Hitler all the way up until the Japanese attacked us and Germany declared war on us. Then Hitler was bad. And yet you seem quite comfortable to equate republicans with one of the beloved ideas of the last generation. For the last several decades the left has only hated dictators that were friendly to America but loved the ones that opposed America.

Just to clear the record, both presidents Bush are liberal republicans, just like Senator McCain. You seem so blinded by hate that you fail to notice this minor fact.

When I worked under President Carter we lost 5000 servicemen a year for his 4 year presidency and no one bothered to care. It is part of the congressional record I know because one of those years while recuperating from bullet hole in chest my job was to compile the dead for the annual report to congress. Now after 8 years under Mr. Bush we have lost 4500 servicemen and you see that as a bad thing. Good for you and your consistency. You don’t care about the dead you just use it as a talking point to attack the republicans. Under President Clinton we only lost 3000 a year but that was ok too for his 8 years as president. Under both presidents Bush we lost 7000 troops in 12 years. So Mr. Carter lost 20,000, Mr. Clinton lost 24,000 that is 44,000 over 12 years and Mr. Bush in your opinion enjoys to see the death of our troops? Look it up or ask the guys in the black SUV’s that follow you around all the time. Your peace time presidents seem to get more people killed than the war time presidents.

Oh please, the Republicans have been relying on wrapping themselves in a flag since 911. Rudy Giuliani's whole campaign was saying 911 to everything. Hell it was Bush's favorite justification for the war profiteering to torture.

Yes, I lied to congress and they lied to the American people just to confound you. As I said it is in the congressional record if you bother to look. Instead you choose to close your eyes and deny the facts. Yup, you’re honest and unbiased, fair and intellectually honest. Just not on this planet.

I agree, he's a good talker. Others have agreed to this. So, OK, we have a consensus... Obama talks a good talk...How on earth does that qualify him for the office of president of the US?

I also agree that he does not have much legislative experience.  However, I also am not convinced that that disqualifies him.  He's not an idiot.  And for better or worse, he's got a plan.

I understand your reservations about his stance on abortion.  I very much believe that life begins at conception.  By I also don't agree with sending lives over to Iraq without a point or objective.  Our soldiers lives are just as valuable.  I am saying that I support Obama, but there are immoralities on the platforms of both parties and their candidates.

And last I checked, Al Franken and Ben Jones are not republicans, although with the former, you would be hard pressed to call him an actor too. ;)

So you deny that Sonny Bono was an actor who was elected to the Congress?

So you deny that Arnold Schwarzenegger was an actor who was elected Governor?

Like most rightwingers you want to make a claim and then argue that anything that points out your lies is unfair.

Why are you right minded folks wasting your time trying to reason with someone like this moon-bat polidiotco? why? why?

When asked to back up his assertions with fact, he says you should back up his assertions with facts disproving them! typical moon-bat response!

He changes subjects so he cannot be pinned down on his obvious lack of understanding of the constitution!

Next he will be declaring that all republican voters are Illegal aliens {oops that fact belongs to the democrats}
