Disconnected from Ironclad Online

No matter what

I've updated to the latest patch and restarted my computer but no matter what I do my login stalls for a minute or two until it times out and I get a "Disconnected from Ironclad Online" message. Is this something wrong on my end or are the servers screwy right now?

They're down presently while we deal with an updating bug.

No. If you get into the lobby to the point of joining a game, and when u go to join the room it gives you that message, then it means the host does not have his ports set up correctly, and you should try joining a different room.
If, however it is when you try to log in that u get this message, as far as i know ICO has not been down since the update, so it is probably on your end.

Its the first time I've tried to use ICO. At the account creation I have used my stardock UN and PW and the serial I got with the digital download purchase. Ill read through themonks guide to see if my port settings are the problem.... nothings ever easy eh.

Still no good...

I turn off norton,
turn off WindowsXP fire wall
add the 6112 and 6000 TCPs to the exeptions list, still no joy.

I am at a university so it may be at the uni gateway, but Im not at the stage of joining games or channels where I thought that'd be a problem, I still haven't been able connect to ICO to create an account!

This was a digital download through the SDC console... any chance there is a simple fix thats in the software somewhere?
Im a bit naive about networks etc, but from this connection I had now problems with WON.net for HW and Cata, could join HW2 games at the Gamespy servers... whats so different about sins and ICO?
