Same as Sins, I'll wait for a demo.

that comment is coated in pure fail =p

Correct, I have no interest in pre-paying for a game that could turn out to be pure fail. I know nothing about the game besides some screenshots that didn't really get me excited. Because of the companies involved I will keep an eye on development and play a demo as soon as one is released but that alone is no reason to believe that the game is worth buying at this early stage. I only buy the best of the best games if I consider something to be merely average I will pass thanks.

I went ahead and bit the bullet, and pre-ordered the game. I sure hope it gets released (to beta) soon! :D

Well... just £20 ($45) for a good game concept from good teams of people... not really that much to lose. Plus the advantage of testing the Beta too, well worth the risk in my opinion :)

My comment had less to do with "risk" and more to do with "impatience".

Hehe, true..I just hope that, if Ironclad are involved aswell as Stardock, that sins wont be pushed to the bottom of the 'To Do' list and we get the excellent support that we have had so far :)

From what I've heard, IC is involved peripherally at best. "take a look at this!" level of involvment, not "write this code" level.

Never hurts to have more great minds on the job :P As long as Sins enjoys updates and i get into the Demigod beta, i'm happy :D :D

You'd be surprised; I've seen several posts unhappy over the idea of IC being involved with demigod. (They didn't like Sins slower gameplay style, likely)

I've seen them too, and they are just getting carried away by stuff they dont even know yet.

Space combat, in my opinion, suits the slower combat. Demigod seems to me to be a faster concept, especially with RPG elements to the game. IC being involved doesnt mean slow gameplay, so yeah, i think kosc is correct.

well that's once in a blue moon

This is Fact , always <3

With limited information it is all to easy to get carried away with speculations. I will be pre-ordering next week I just have some concern since I am more of a SP person with RTS type games the general description seems to focus on MP.

Not only that, but the basic concept of "strategy over tactics" suits a slower game as well, so slow fit what they were aiming for. Since Demigod isn't exactly something designed to be slow...

I'm with you, on the single player point but with talking on these forums, i'm hoping it will spur my interest for multiplayer. Single player it seems is just training and with the shorter game length of Demigod over sins, i think it will be easier to get into MP.

I'm getting excited about Demigod.

When I first saw it Previewed in PC Gamer, I was like, "Looks cool, meh, maybe I'll get it, or just play it on my friends Computer, like Titan's Quest"

Now that Stardock's involved, it can't suck... I'll be pre-ordering soon. Beta-tastic action!

That pretty much follows my logic train!

Most games are in general good, the reason why I like Stardock's overall beta setup is the experience you get over the months up until release. I pre-order to get into the experience, that is where I enjoy myself the most, plus I meet a ton of cool people ( EET, MULTI , YARLEN ,ZOOMBA , et all. ) One a game comes out most people play them 2-6 months and forget about them. I consider the 6-8 months I'll be testing the Beta plus the 2-6 months after release all quality time well worth my money. :CONGRAT:

I preordered recently. I mean, I'm not too much into DotA, but it's Stardock and I am willing to bet on their game. I most likely will like it, but if I don't at least I'll have encouraged a PC game dev' team whose methods I appreciate.

I'm in now too.
