Hello!

As part of the launch of DemigodTheGame.com and these forums, we've kicked off an IRC channel for gamers to come and chat about all things Demigod.

All you need is an IRC client such as mIRC, and connect to:

irc.stardock.com

And /join #demigod

Easy as can be.  We look forward to seeing you there!

I personally get really thrilled when a company runs it own IRC server :-)
And especially when they're not running the generic Anope+Unreal setup.

Also please add XChat2 (SilvereX) to the list of clients, as XChat2 unlike mIRC is free.

mIRC is free, it just bugs you when you start it up once you go over your trial period.

mIRC is not free and it even says so.
You can however continue using the trial for quite a while :-)

Heres some from their FAQ:
Registration - mIRC is a shareware program. This system of distributing programs, as shareware, shows the true spirit of the Internet. You can download mIRC for free and give it a try. If during or after the evalution period you decide to continue to use mIRC, you're asked to pay a small registration fee. This will allow Khaled, mIRC's author, to go on developing and supporting mIRC. Once you registered one version of mIRC, you're allowed to use all future versions for free!

So you can't update it, so what? I'm on day 102 of my free 30 day trial and all does is bug me with 3 pop ups when I start it.

The one in Impulse is ok, but i can't seem to find any of the buttons related to the IRC, as you would find around mIRC etc, am i missing something?

In Impulse it's called Chat.
And it lacks all neat features I can think of :p

Sorry, i wasn't clear hehe, i can get on and talk just fine but there is no options or anything.. Ah well, i suppose thats because it's combined with Impulse but it may be a good idea to include some features in the future :D

is there a secondary or a passthrough server that can be added? My school seems to block irc.stardock.com  (i have tried different ports in mirc) and we have about  6 or 7 people i know of that will be playing and wouldnt mind having irc.
