Increasing Ship Supply Capacity

Hello Everyone! I just got the game, and I played several single player games, but one problem I run into is that I can't build anymore ships because it would Exceed the supply limit. How would I increase the supply limit? I play vasari, and any usefule information would help, thanks!

There's a subpanel in the research screen for researching fleet capacity techs, I think it's third from the top and the relevant ones are on the bottom row. Hope this helps!

So you play as the Vasari huh?........well playing as the vasari give you the advantage of the Dark Fleet, but you need to unlock it. The dark fleet will aid you in battle.

Yes it is! Remember, increasing cap ships won't necessarily increase the cost of the fleet. The first upgrade to overall fleet cap gives you a 9% tax on income. It's pretty manageable even with just 3 planets. But increasing from there can really be a drain if you don't time it right. Sometimes, if I"ve just lost a lot of ships, I'll go ahead and increase cap ship limit, get that, and then incresae fleet total once I've upgraded my second or third cap ship so it has a fleet to protect. That way I don't incur raised taxes until I really really need them.

You can see the cost of your fleet by resting your cursor over the credit total. A breakdown of your income and costs will appear. Fleet costs take a large percentage of credits, smaller percentage of metal/crystal.

So I am like 4 years late on this game. I have been playing the game for 2 weeks now. I still cannot find the ship supply increase for TEC. I keep on getting bet over when the CPU attacks with multiple capital ships. I have gone the tutorials 4 times. I have gone through the forums here. But I cannot find the TEC increase on their research tree. any help?

When you open up your research screen you should see selections down the left side of the window.

Click on Fleet Logistics.

It will take you to this screen:

The research in the bottom box increases your fleet supply at the cost of permanently taking away a percentage of your resources.  The research in the top box increases the number of capital ships you're allowed to field.  This screen is similar for all three races.
