It's like the entire world does not make any sense to me any more zoo, who ever would have though a five year old {two years ago} would get so out of control she would need to be handcuffed and now an 11 year old girl punched out a officer of the law. The whole world has lost it zoo.

Right on MM.  This is getting out of control all over the place.  While I haven't heard of these cases you speak of I've heard of a few more recently.  There were two featured on GMA recently.  One was a teen skateboarder and it was all on videotape by one of his friends.  He called the officer "dude." 

Can you imagine?  Well I guess the officer was incensed and got very firm with the kid.  I think the kid and parents thought the video tape would help their case but all it really did was show what a bad job of parenting went on in that household.  Nobody seemed to sympathize with the kid. 

Another incident was a teen girl on a bus with her cell calling her mom because the bus driver was getting authoratative on her.  A physical fight ensued between the bus driver, this girl and the bus driver's daughter.  It got pretty physical....again there were mixed reactions to who was really at fault. 

From a Christian POV it's not surprising since we were told in the last days...good would become evil and evil would become good.  Also told to be aware that kids would be against their own parents and parents against their kids.   Maybe that would speak to the kids killing their parents and the parents killing their kids?  Not sure but they're certainly going aginst one another when they murder each other. 

Doesn't sound normal to me. 

 

 

Your reaching on this one, I can't find anyone saying "police brutality" in fact it appears that it's just the opposite.

"Eyewitness News talked to several parents Thursday who said that Thaliamar Jimenez has caused trouble before. Most of those parents are coming down firmly on the side of the deputy".

"The girl was taken to a juvenile detention center and faces charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, disrupting a school function, and resisting with violence".

The worst criticism I can find is.  "I just don't know if that's necessary," one parent said" and, "There should be guidance counselors. The principal should have been there to calm the child down instead of having an officer do it," parent Cherley Constant said".

Hardly anyone screaming "police brutality". But an 11 year old got tasered that's controversial and your going to have opinions coming out from everyone. Especially if you take into account that she's borderline retarded, she has the mind of a 5 year old and according to some witnesses she was acting scared out of her mind when she struck the officer. What any of this has to do with secular progressive escapes me.

I heard about this. a few years ago she would have been shot, only because Tasers were not invented. ANd they call it police brutality. Yea, at least she can scream it today. Yesterday would have been a more silent scream.

The use of deadly force on an unarmed 11 year old would then and now be considered murder.

It is so out of control that is is becoming the norm now.

I did not read anywhere that the child is retarded, if this is true then the officer should have restrained her instead of tasering her IMO>.

Since the Secular progressive movement has caught on and parental rights have gone by the wayside {no spanking} you now have children that are out of control with no fear of punishment at all. I have a nephew that told his mother, "go ahead, hit me I will call the cops and have you busted" after he came home at four in the morning for the billionth time at the age of 13. That's how secular progressive came into this subject.

To subdue the child when she is threatening mortal wounding of others? I hardly think so. It would be a stink, but it would be justifiable. To save the life of the other.

I'm assuming her mother was telling the truth.

The secular progressive movement has nothing to do with the state of our children now. It's nothing more complicated than the fact that modern society having a complete record of the previous generation.  There's a  benchmark set for each new generation to top and the only way to stop it is to reject modern society altogether. Move out to woods and live like some Amazonian tribe where you can control everything they're exposed to and they have to take their parents word on what they did when they were their age. There's has been and will be allot of growing pains but this road we're on has produced many kids whom are light years ahead in every way of where we were when we were there age. There will be a point where the destructive behavior of the previous generation is just seen as stupid and not something to be outdone.

No it would not This is a personal issue for me because I have a stepdaughter that was diagnosed as bipolar when she was seven. Three years later she stopped taking her meds without the telling anyone, grabbed a steak knife and ran away from home. The cops found he walking down the street with the knife in her hand and she ran from them straight into a lake where she stood waist deep in water waiving the knife threatening the officers.  She's a healthy 22 year old now with a bright future because even without tasers the officers were able to disarm her (one even getting cut in the process) and take her into custody without harming her. If your not prepared to handle situations like this without killing someone you have no bushiness being a cop. Thankfully all the cops I know fully understand this.

It has everything to do with the state of our children and most of the ills of present day society. The permissiveness that pervades everywhere is due to the attitude of secular progressives, oops makes a mistake having sex? well just kill the baby. Drugs? no big deal! lazy? do not worry uncle sugar will pay for your existence! Children? well there are no winners and losers, everyone wins, so little johnny and mary won't feel bad about losing!

MM's article is different than the mainstream sort of article, in that the mainstream articles scream "What is a police officer doing tazering an 11-year old girl?" instead of asking "What's an 11-year old girl doing to make a police officer need to taze her?"

A 'like a 5 year old' still has an 11 year old body, which is big enough to cause mortal harm, and if trying to do that, needs to be stopped like any other person trying to cause mortal harm. My 11 month old doesn't have that capability, so you wouldn't need to restrain him that way. The mind in the head doesn't matter once it's made up to cause harm.

I don't see how it's worse than than the attitude of the past. In the old days people pretended bad things didn't happen, and so people suffered alone, in silence, isolated from society.

Maybe we go too far to help. But at least people talk about the big issues these days.

In a couple of generations we may even approach civilisation.

Actually both are myths. IN the past, the myth is that your neighbors were there always to help you. Always is not an accurate term, but more often than tdoay.

Were things as bad? Or just ignored? DId people help each other more? Or we just remember the times they did?

I think a close objective scrutiny of it will find myths in both stories. As well as the mythical "couple of generations" attaining civilization. Like it or not, it was obtained a long time ago. It is just not edenic and never will be.

I still think the overly pampering society of today is just a reaction to the overly brutal societies of yesteryear. It'll swing back the other way sooner or later, there's no point getting worked up about it - there'll be jackboots, scary marching and worse soon enough.

We should be spending our time enjoying a world where every attractive life is valued to an absurd level rather than looking back to the factories and white picket fences of the past for our ideals of perfection.
