ok bug report!!
I've fully installed everything with updates and all in Impulse.

It [Impulse] wanted to do updates so I did them even though it seemed some of the updates where the same version numbers. All but one that is "Windowblinds". I had 6.09f[b].130 and Impulse installed 6.09d[b].124 and when I go back to my SDC it wants to update to the newer version. ok

So that is about the only bug so far. This looks so nice I'm thinking of spending more money on some new stuff too!
Really good work everyone - very nice program and it will make a big difference in things here in the future!

Everyone at Stardock is to be congratulated!!!

Oh ps I'm leaving everything as it is in Impulse for now till it is fixed. No need to switch back and forth. Things are working smoothly here!

It does look and feel very nice. :CONGRAT:

I didn't think I would like the color selected for it but it works and at least for me is easy to read. Navigation appears to be easy and straight forward. Serious question here, is Island Dog working on one of his excellent walk throughs for Impulse?

Understanding that this is a beta, I take it we shouldn't be using it to update or change things.  :NOTSURE:

Just one question really, should we expect all the same functions available upon release of Impulse as there are currently with SDC? Things like IRC, WC forums, or did I just miss these?

All in all a very nice job, looking forward to using the final release version.

I am also getting updates showing for almost every Stardock product I have installed. But I checked SDC right before installing Impulse and it showed no available updates.

After installing though I happened to get a notice through SDC for an update to SKS6 Pro but in Impulse it doesnt even show this application as installed or available.

The updates are very wonky on this, it says I have WB 6.09F installed and the latest version available is 6.09D, which it wants me to update to, but this isn't exactly an 'update'
Also it says there is an update to DeskScapes available but the version is exactly the same save a period in the version number. :NOTSURE:

Its showing a lot of "available updates" in impulse...but if I open SDC it doesn't show any. Shouldn't the 2 have the same updates? I think I'll wait before trying any of those updates.

And impulse looks nice...not really sure though what I'd use it for since sdc seems to do everything I need...unless of course this will be the eventual replacement of SDC. Oh...and I don't see a chat link in there.

It should have the same app udpates as SDC has.

Its showing an older version of WB beta. My current beta is 6.09f.[b].130 - the one shown in Impulse is 6.09d[b].124 - unless thats newer? (it doesn't show that build in SDC)

Eventually, we want to get all these things in there.  But initially, the community part will only be general forums not the WC ones.  We're building something pretty spectacular for the community part but it won't be ready byt he time we launch.

IRC won't be in right away but it's coming.

The only feature in SDC that won't be in Impulse will be the skin browser. It's just too much to maintain and adds a lot of size requirements to the program.

Regarding SDC updates vs. Impulse updates: They use two different backends I think so you will see updates on Impulse that aren't on SDC and vice versa from time to time.

Nice job on this, it has a real professional look. :HOT:

Not really an Impulse error but, every time I start or restart it launches MS Script debugger for the https://store.stardock.com/js/controls.js file at line 181. The line looks fine to me.

me too (at first)

Worked great on my office computer but at home it loaded fine the first time, I clicked update Skinstudio and it returned an error, then would not get beyond "Retrieving Latest Information" on multiple restarts/reboots. So I uninstalled > rebooted > deleted the folder in user directory > reinstalled.....still goes unresponsive during "Retrieving Latest Information" XP SP2 current updates.

Ok now that I did the update that was in SDC SKS6 is showing up in Impulse. But I did just notice that in Impulse under the My Desktop it is showing Bootskin as available when I already have it installed and also it isn't showing LogonStudio for XP at all and I also have that installed.

Just a reminder, this is a beta release so I think we will all see some things that look a little strange or not working right. Make note of them and post here so the developers can get some good feed back, which will help them in getting out updates.

Here's a question for anyone who would know. When updates to the beta release of Impulse are issued how will we be notified?

Forgive me for being a newbie here, but I downloaded Impulse and everytime I open it Just-in-time script editor opens and impulse freezes. Any help for this rookie PLZ.

The only issue I have run into so far is SKS 6 will show an update, On trying to update, it will read "error retrieving data" and will stop. All other updates went smooth. I chose to ignore it.

The only 'issue' I have with Impulse is that it's displaying some of my registration/serial numbers as 'free', unabling me to (directly) update those applications.

Manually entering the correct serials does work, but they won't 'stick'
