Recycling Today For a Greener Tomorrow!

-Who We Are-

Greenbugz.com is a small business with BIG BUSINESS ambitions. We are a dedicated company looking to change the planet with green products, green jobs and a new green mentality. Greenbugz.com is dedicated to picking up our trash!!!

-What is a greenbug?-

A greenbug is newspaper, boxes, magazines, receipts, catalogs, junk mail, copier and printer paper transformed into a 3lb. symbol of change...
With every purchase of a greenbug, 3lbs. of paper will be recycled and diverted from occupying a land fill. Small steps at recycling paper can make big changes if we all commit to a greener tomorrow. Greenbugz is a symbol that you are aware of tomorrow and the impact you have on today.

What a perfect gift for that eco-friendly person in your life-You've been trashed!!!

Well, one the one hand it's a cute idea, but on the other hand, I think it will ultimately be impractical. I suspect most of those greenbugz will somehow find their way into the trash anyway, especially since they don't seem very... "durable." Even more especially since, "Granted it is paper, but your local municipalities recycling program will not take the greenbugz." People mean well, but, knowing people, most won't do this: "For any reason you do not want the greenbugz, send it back. We will recycle the greenbugz back into the Hive."

A couple of suggestions: 1) Find a way to make them more long lasting (so the warnings about not letting kids teeth on them or to worry about dampness so mold won't set in or sending up alarms about firebugz are no longer necessary). 2) Change the designs so they are irresistibly cute and something less likely to get trashed. 3) Expand to find other variations on the theme -- turning refuse into something "everyday artistic" as a form of recycling.

Even with those changes, I doubt this would ever be much more than the environmental equivalent of the pet rock.

Good luck with it, though. I hope I'm wrong.

'Stupid' isn't word enough to describe it.

Hey, I'm supposed to be "constructive"! ;)

C'mon, SanCho! You know you want to spend $25 for a former phone book that now looks like something which wants to break open and smother Sigourney Weaver! They'll probably even ship it to Spain for you.

(I have to admit, sometimes when I see things such as this I wonder if Alan Abel isn't lurking somewhere giggling hysterically. Still, I won't crush the dreams of someone who may be sincere just because pranksters abound.)
