Saving Daylight...My Way

A Better Idea to Daylight Savings Time

Our home is adorned with clocks. (If you know me and you've been to our home, you know what I mean...as I sit here on the couch already tired from a lost hour of sleep, I am within view of seven clocks.

We have big clocks, little clocks, wall clocks, clocks on stands, digital clocks, analog clocks, clocks with arabic numerals, clocks with roman numerals (Did you know that all roman numeral clocks use IIII instead of IV?), not to mention cell phone clocks, answering machine clocks, alarm clocks, microwave clocks, coffee pot clocks, television clocks, VCR clocks, DVD clocks, game console clocks, camera clocks, vehicle clocks, etc...and not a freakin' one has the technology to move itself forward.

I've got an idea...why don't we all adjust our clocks ahead just 30 minutes, leave them all the heck alone next November and the following March, and every single time we get the urge to mess with them...and leave time alone! Then, there would be no adjusing of clocks...no flight time rearrangements, no "springing forward" of all of our home clocks, and no messing with my own internal body clock!

But because we've always done it this way (for as long as I can remember), I will spend at least the next hour resetting all of the clocks around me one hour forward. On second thought, I think I may just leave them alone; my technological mind says they'll all be right again in about six months...there...I just really saved an hour of daylight!

We have a clock on the stove, microwave, and Cable box (plus the obligatory ones on the computers).  So no, we dont have a bunch of clocks, just a bunch of devices with clocks.

And no, I have never noticed that about Roman Numeral clocks.  Now I have to find one and look at it!

I really don't think your going to throw your self off with a simple loss of only "30 minutes" as far as it goes when it comes to TIME!. Hyuck!!! Hyuck!!.. Since I live with chronic pain and went for years with out sleeping my self, and hay, I am still nor, nor, nor, normallllll!!.. As far as clocks go though "Ya I love them my self"   and have them all over the house for looks, but would rather have my wife set them when it comes TIME!<----There is that word again, that and "hurry the hell up" seems to be in our future to stay..   But how about buying one of the clocks that sets it's self to the worlds "atomic clock" they set them selves, and then dump all the rest :banhammer: .. What I have done since I have allot of clocks and love them too: Most are set to 12:00 now, and then we take out the batteries...  This was because too many had batteries in them, and ever month it's Chaaaaaa ChhhhhiiinGG!!! $$$$$$$.... No one has even notice the ones set to 12, especially if you leave the man "bigger clocks" working in your house, witch we all seem to have one or two.. That's a great idea as far as what you said about why don't we all adjust our clocks ahead just 30 minutes and leave them alone, etc, etc, but what happens when the power goes out?.. Dope!!!

In the end, only ((Time))) can tell :digichet:   ...

P.S. Don't forget that your "internal clock" as far as if your female too.. Tick!!!, Tick!!!, Tick!!!

Us men, only have to unwind!..

The myth of Daylight savings.

/me shakes his head

Try to find a study not sponsored by a retail lobby group that shows it saves anything and I'll give you a shiney penny.

For years I was dogged by that "spring ahead, fall back" crap. Now, I live in Arizona, and we don't play that game. One time, all year long. Ah, serenity.
