How to colonize a new planet

Playing Advent, have researched ability to colonize an ice planet, have cleared the gravity well of other ships, when I try to bomb i'm told the planet is not a valid target for bombing.  Can't find anything in the interface to allow me to take control of the planet - please tell me how to do this simple thing.  Thanks.  I assume the solution will be the same for taking contol of an asteroid system?

You have the colonizing technology, good.
Colony ships will automatically capture planets when they are in the same system. Doing so takes a large amount of antimatter, and they lose a bunch every jump. So you may have to wait a minute or two for them to recharge. It helps to get at least 2 colony ships, maybe more for larger maps, so that they can "leapfrog" from one new planet to the next.

Alternatively, every race has a capital ship that can learn how to colonize planets. They recharge antimatter MUCH faster, so you can keep them constantly on the move capturing new planets.

Pick one, or do a bit of both.

there is cruisers and frigates and no colonizing ships, nowhere written, have it some another name ? cause i see only fight ships :(

Missionary Vessel is what you want, it's one of the frigates. The Progenitor mothership is the capital ship that can colonize for the Advent.

i dont see the problem here,

theres but 4 options here i can think of


1: something in your game is wrong and its all screwed up

2: for any reason u cannot build colonizer ships (flaw, manual delete etc.etc.etc.)

3: u didnt even take time to look cuase u already made up your mind that its not there and the games 2 blame

4: TEC or Vasari guys game from outer space and deleted constructionplans 4 the colonizer craft .... knowing this will stop u from playing the game "muahaha laughter" -.-

1: u might wanna reboot or even reinstall the game if needed
2: same thing here, reboot or reinstall.. it should be there, if its not after anything u did then u can start being hystericall

3: yer 2 lazy, get out some more.... or just TRY IT..

4: ............. make some friends, drink or eat something... get outside for a change.. and dont be afraid of the big glowing thing in the sky.. its just a 1.000.000 degrees fireball.... completly harmless.. for now

Dude.

Click your home planet.

Click the "build frigates" button.

One of the frigates you can build is a colony ship.

If those simple instructions do not help you, then I am positive there's either something wrong with the game that's unusual, or you're missing something crucial.

i dont know how to fix that so just look at the location of the circle, if there nothing there you have a problem.

it happens the same to me whenever i start with an artificial planetoid as capital planet

i'm playing with the stars mod... i thought it was mod related but then i found this topic...

 

discovered if it's normal... since it's an artifical planetoid home planet maybe it's plot related

I ALSO HAVE HALF FLEET LOGISTIC THREE WHICH IS TERRIBLE.... i will never continue a play if i start and see such conditions.... they suck!
