Chef Robert Irvine.....You're Fired!

I am a regular watcher of the Food Network, and Dinner: Impossible was one of my favorite shows.  Obviously I was disappointed when I read this story.

NEW YORK —  After rising to culinary stardom preparing impossible meals on his Food Network series, Robert Irvine has met an obstacle his kitchen prowess couldn't overcome -- an embellished resume.

The star of "Dinner: Impossible" has acknowledged fabricating some of the more fantastic parts of his resume, including having cooked for Britain's Royal Family and various U.S. presidents.

Following the revelations, the network announced it would not renew Irvine's contract, though it would air the remaining episodes of the current season, the series' fourth.

He admitted to lying, but I still hate to see a good show go off the air.

Wasn't one of his lies that he'd been knighted? Don't they check this stuff? Next thing you know, this guy will show up as a plastic surgeon on Discovery.

I read they were looking to recast. :NOTSURE:

I heard this but didn't recognize the name. Now that you posted a picture, I know exactly who he is. I'm sure they'll find someone better looking and less talented to fill his spot.

Uh, so who cares about his resume?  The show was a success, so who the hell cares?  It's freakin' entertainment, after all!

Yeah, it's a show on the Food Network.  Does anyone really care that he padded his resume a bit?
