IGN is running a news story about Sins 100k+ sold units in less than a month. This is most likely normal retail sales and does not digital sales. Follow the link for details.



I would venture to say that Sins is in the 150k to 200k range with all things considered. Any comment from SD/IC? Inquiring minds want to know...

... besides saying that theyre very happy about it, i doubt that a SD or IC representative will dare venture precise sales figures ... software companies protect that kind of privileged info ...

sometimes, for example, it is to control the influence of sales numbers on the corporation's stock value : even if sales might seem strong for the ordinary joes, they might be below projected expectations, an info that might lower the value of the stock ...

With the success of Sins I'm hoping we'll see a boom in all space genre games. Its been quite dry lately.

That would be valid assumption if SD/IC were publicly traded companies. Anyway, there is more to this titles release then just sales. There is a new genera aspect, revival of the space themed games, the antiDRM movement and more.

Damn I have three other threads about this same topic posted in the past couple hours. SD/IC should setup a 'news' only forum.
