This mod Contain "Volumetric Explosions&Damage Effects ver. 1.13 " by ManSh00ter

Warning - This mod didn`t trough entensive test so may have some serious bugs. When you find some please inform me.

0. Fix
   1. Fix TEC light frigate`s weapon travel speed (600 -> 6000)

1. How to install MOD
   1. Update your Entrenchment ver to 1.02 first
   2. Start Entrenchment
   3. Go option -> mods -> show modpath to confirm your mods folder.
   4. Quit Entrenchment
   5. Put "bkg_Entrenchment_v1.02_1" folder into your Entrenchment mods folder.
      ex) C:\Documents and Settings\youraccountnamemayhere\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.02\bkg_Entrenchment_v1.02_1   <- this folder should contain 6 folders(GameInfo, Mesh, Particle, PipelineEffect, TextureAnimations, Textures) and 6 manifest files(brush, entity, galaxy, playerPictures, playerThemes, skybox)
   6. Start Entrenchment
   7. Go option -> mods -> enable mod to activate mod.
   8. enjoy mod.

2. Changes - Visual
   1. Enhanced every weapon effects.
   2. Enhanced and added most ability effects.
   3  Add new mine explosion effect for each mines.
   3. Enhanced some explosion effects and Implented with ManSh00ter`s Volumetric Explosions&Damage Effects ver. 1.13
   4. Enhanced and optimized other various effects.
   5. Heavy Crusiers length extended.
   6. Phase Gate now stand up and rotate and bigger .
   7. Weapon Jamming Module downsized.
   8. Optimized TEC Fighter mesh.
   9. Pirate Gauss defense`s weapon changed to autocannon (only visual)

3. Changes - Gameplay
   1. None
   2. Still if you remove GameInfo folder, You`ll lost every enhanced beam effect and ability effects.
  
4. Fixes from vanilla SOASE Entrenchment ver 1.02
   1. Fix some improper weapon points.
   2. Fix persistence passive effects disappearing when load saved game.
   3. Fix Advent starbase`s Meteor planet ability didn`t work collectly at level 2 (Has 0 ranges).

I like this a whole lot. This will be a download for me, although I am curious to know how much of a hit my system will take with this mod. The video seemed to run beautifully, is there any possibility of you posting your specs so we can compare them to our systems?

this really adds a lot to sins, and i thought the effects were decent to start with. Quite an eye candy upgrade your making here. Ill download this as soon as its released.

You'll need higher specs than minimum to play with these. Not only do the particles last longer, there's more of them which require extra processing power.

But particles aren't too demanding, so most users will be able to play with them.

i would like to know what your settings are set at for this while using so we have sorta a basis to work off of (im sure its maxxed...but cant always be sure)

would also like to know the extent of the modifications (for possibly playing online with it....will others have to have it aswell)

I have to ask the question, will it work online? I'm assuming you've just changed graphical output in the same way the standard graphics options do?I love the more dramatic effects, much more exciting.

Text work only. Use stock textures only because changing even single texture make every set of textures need for running this mod in ver 1.02 :(

Yes. You can play online if your opponent use same mod ,and graphic option don`t touch anything about particle effect(game adjust itself automatically during play).

Looks excellent, hows the performance hit?

Little bit slower then original one i assume. Still amount of total particle limit didn`t changed so i think if you can play vanilla one smoothly you can also play this one nicly.

It will be pretty useful if you post your computer spec

I would gladly play around with this as a "beta" version. Heck, I'd even give feedback if you wanted it. No need to wait until completed to release it. ;)

alot of other mods make similar tweaks... but they also change around the gameplay.

I love this mod because:

a. The best visuals out of any mods ive seen
b. You dont mess with the gameplay, just the visuals.

korean is actually one of the easier languages to identify. japanese to someone unfamiliar with their exact characters can easily think they are either chinese or japanese....korean characters are pretty.....original

do please though show what you will do with the vasari and then ill decide on if i want this...so far its looking great though...and with about the same specs i currently have...so thats a bonus.

with how much you have done with it so far.....what gives you the month timescale left till release of this? (out of curiosity) you seem to be doing the races rather fast with the changes and they are looking great..so just curious as to what you have planned that is going to take about a month to finish it.

Question for you, Bailknight...

Do your changes include the .entity files, or are you working exclusively in .particle files. I only ask because if you ARE working just in particles it would do wonders for compatability w/ other mods and combinations.

Looks great, btw. I'll be downloading as soon as you're ready.

I realized the your ship info card appears on the bottom right corner when you mouse over instead of appearing on top of the control panel. How could this be set up?
Is this part of your mod? Or is it simply due to your super uber widescreen?

I'm not completely selfish though considering the game plays so well on such a variety of system specs, but a total newb when it comes to using mods: If there was an easy way to combine this with other mods, that would be win.
