PM2004 - Can't type!

For some reason, I can't type anywhere in the game. I went to create a new candidate and I can do everything else but type in the person's name! I have no other technical issues with the game besides this. What do you think caused this?

I'm running Windows Vista and a 256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO video card that came with the computer.

Please help! I'm sick of using the same humdrum candidates!

I just reinstalled this game (Vista running on Mac with BootCamp) and the same problem, can't type.

Has anyone resolved this?
