Hello everyone and anyone who have a psp or who knows someone else who do.

I just recently purchased my first hand held console.  Well..i bought it becasue i need something compact, lite and small to lugged around for music and movie watching and serving the internet in my university, and not for games playing.

I do have a question, i heard that the Psp can be modded like the regular ps 1 and 2, and even 3, and likewish Xbox.

Has anyone done it, and is it worth doing.  Will it damage the hardware.  And does it really make my psp that much better.  I know it won't turn it into some sort of star trek tricoder.  but what will it become afterwards.  Oh, and i never have mod anything before, so is it easy to do it on one's own.  

Finally, is it legal.  I know it sounds dumb, but i know pirating games is not legal, but i am asking about modding for the purpose of making the non game playing features better.  Or will there be a difference whether i modded it or not.

And as far as the game playing aspect of my psp goes, both my 50 year oldish aunties love to play games on my psp more than me.  They stayed up to play castlevania for 4 hours straight   And every night when they come back to work, the first thing they ask is whether they can play with my psp.
