Alone and Thinking
Sometimes it’s good to be alone, whether you like it or not. It gives you a chance to think, to commune with your own inner voice. You can do a lot of thinking, you know? Whatever little or big problems are on your mind, you can just go off to a little secluded place and mull it over.
People are nice, well some people are nice- most are blithering idiots and/or total jackasses, but those ones you tolerate on a day to day basis aren’t so bad. I reckon they end up growing on you. Still, even with those handful of people that you don’t want to choke until they turn blue…it’s good to get away once in awhile.
Just sit down, space out and let the old mind wander through the vast space that is contained between your ears. Dive deep in to that metaphysical space and start digging and rooting around. Admittedly that can be a scary place for some…who knows what freaky shit you got rolling around in there…but hey, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger- well, usually. Either way it isn’t so bad to get inside your own head, you’re the only one who can figure out exactly what makes you tick.
Just search around in that noggin of yours and there’s no telling what you’ll find. Memories, fears, worries, hallucinations, gremlins…it’s a total shitstorm of a place in there…and the fun part is that it’s all subjective. You have no idea what’s going on in somebody else’s mind and they can’t peer into yours…unless you’ve become way too predictable or they’re psychic or something.
Anyway, back to my point. It’s good to be alone to think. I find it quite enlightening when I can get a moment’s peace to figure out exactly where I’m headed, what’s really on my mind, and figure out a way to fix it or perhaps find something fun to do. The noise of the world has a way of distracting you and making you crazy. Take a few moments to collect yourself, you’ll find that things are easier when you’re aware of what’s really going on inside.
And hey, maybe you can write it all down and share it with people.
