Oh really Obama?  So everyone will be equal at the hands of the government then?

Obama: They (U.S. Soldiers) were actually capturing Taliban weapons, because it was easier to get Taliban weapons than it was for them to get properly equipped by our current commander in chief.

Wow.  Any proof of this Obama?  This is quite a tall tale without anything to back it up.

While it doesnt look like it's been "skyrocketing," (And I guess that might depend on perception. ) it certainly has been increasing somewhat steadily.

Total incidents 2006 = 7720

Increase in incidents per year between 2003 and 2006 = 58

Percentage increase in incidents per year = 0.77%

This is what Obama calls "skyrocketing"? What ElindelWolf calls "steadily increasing"?

Remember, these raw numbers are to be placed in the context of a population of some 300 million souls. That represents an increase of one incident per year per 5 million in population.

Remember, too, that society itself qualifies as a victim under the Hate Crimes law. We live in Wonderland, folks. The numbers don't lie, but politicians sure do.

I'd say it's more like a slight increase in prosecutors choosing to use the hate crime statutes to boost their conviction rates.

Need to revise my figures slightly (had wrong denominator):

Increase in incidents per year between 2003 and 2006 = 77

Percentage increase in incidents per year = 1.0%

No significant difference, but needed to correct the mistake.

Actually, it appears that Obama's story is true. This guy actually talked to the Army captain that Obama was referring to and he confirmed that he did in fact tell Obama those things.

Sorry, but I need real "proof", not an anonymous person telling a story to Obama and ABC "news".  Nothing has confirmed Barack Hussein Obamas story. 

Oh, and does anybody know of Obamas voting record when it comes to funding the troops?

Do you seriously doubt that there is an Army captain who would say this? Do you think that there aren't officers who have served there that have issues with the way things were/are done?

It's really that hard for you to believe?

That's hardly the point, davad70. Never mind the veracity of the story, it's the issues the story raises that matter. Does that have a certain ring to it? What passes for "reporting" now is pretty sad stuff.

Considering places like the NYT's have "featured" fake soldiers before, so there is no reason to take these people at their word especially when it comes from "anonymous" sources.  The liberal media has proven it will lie to push their agenda.

I'm sure there are some troubles with equipment, but Hussein Obama makes it sound like all the troops have no equipment.  Once again, what is Obama's record on funding the troops?
