Political Machine Through the Ages

Game looks great so far. Will there ever be an option to start in the late 1700's and progress through the 21st century either attempting to relive or replay the political contests of yesterday? Will more political figures (Kennedys, King, Perot, Nader, Ferraro, etc) be added to the database? These would be very nice additions to the experience. Many of the best sports sims have a "career" feature. The campaign feature approaches this, but the ability to relive a poltical campaign during the Civil Rights era, the post-Vietnam era, the Civil War, etc.... that would be something.

The closest you can come to that right now is to do "Fantasy Play" and use the world settings to simulate the conditions during the election, this changes what issues are important. You can unlock or edit in the candidates you want, but you'll be stuck with the 2004 US map, or a totally randomized map.

Historical campaigns would be cool, but they'd require some changes. Depending on what time-period you're in, you might have to get rid of TV advertisements and travel by plane. Remove states that weren't states yet, and create new issues (such as 'WW1 intervention', rather than 'War in Iraq'). Sounds like a good idea for an expansion, though.
