Pro's and Con's for Candidates

This is my take on the U.S. Presidential race:

Argument for Kerry:
1. Kerry will protect the environment and take global warming seriously
2. Kerry will protect the separation of church and state.
3. Kerry will be a better communicator
4. Kerry will possibly be a more intelligent President

Argument for Bush:
1. Bush understands the threat of a major nuclear or biological terrorist event against the U.S.
2. Bush is against entitlements
3. Bush supports traditional values
4. A majority of high school drop outs, criminals, and terrorists would rather see Kerry as President

Conclusion: Bush

Bush may be poor on the environment and too religious....but argument #4 for Bush alone is enough for me. If you vote for Kerry, you are basically in agreement with uneducated felons.

Con for Both:

No strong stance on the US/Mexico Border issue, both would enact measures that make it easier for illegal aliens to become citizens. Though I don't have a problem with people from Mexico or South America, this is an open gateway for terrorists to enter the country, and it is a HUGE National Security issue, don't you think so?

I don't think Bush even knows who the terrorists are. He's constantly confusing their names, 9/11 happend under his watch cause he doesn't read memos, and he had Cat Stevens deported. Kerry definetly understands the threat of a major nuclear or biological terrorist. And the criminal thing, Bush has a record. He's the only U.S. president ever to have a record.

"If you vote for Kerry, you are basically in agreement with uneducated felons." = B.S.

As for the U.S./Mexico Border issue. Bush wants it open. He loves the illegals for some odd reason. Perhaps Kerry would have a better, alternative to the issue.

Wrong answer! Both Kerry AND Bush have the *same* position in this issue!

A DUI is a pretty big deal in my eyes as well as many others. Personally I feel that the hiring process job of the Executive Chief should be treated like a normal job. Back ground checks and drug tests should be envolved before a candidate should be fielded to run for president. and while in office they should have annual drug tests. Who wants our president making decisions all coked up or on reefer?

That is a valid argument landen81. Certainly drug tests for the president would be a good idea. But, I don't think any clear thinking person believes Bush is presently taking drugs. He took drugs in the past and made mistakes but I don't hold that against him just like I don't hold it against Clinton for inhaling.

1# Having a DUI on your record doesn't mean you WON'T get hired.

2# There is NO proof that he uses illegal drugs (reefer or otherwise!).
