From Bartcop:

Elsewhere in the news, George Bush claimed it was actually a terrorist scheme.

People took this post more seriously than I had expected. You realize this is a joke, right? Do you really think that God sends storms based on how people vote?

Anyway, Snopes discredits the idea that Democratic areas were left untouched by the hurricanes.

A more general observation about the whole country: While more people voted Democratic than Republican in the last election, that Republican minority is spread over a larger area. Even without divine intervention, we'd expect more storms to hit Republican regions.

Cute, but not much of a coincidence, since most of the land is taken up by republican counties.

Funny. One of lines barely touched 2 of Gore sections. I guess God finds harricanes hard to control.

Nevertheless, that's some fine control.

I didn't realize the republican counties outnumbered the democratic counties by so many. It kinda surprises me that the vote was even close in Florida. Maybe the democratic counties are more heavily populated?

Yeah. But same time, 50.0001% majority is enough to mark it pink. I'm willing to bet that most of those is very close to 50% split.

The blue counties are more populated than the pink counties. Hillsborough County is where I live and its an exception (Tampa is in Hillsborough County).

By the way, there is in error in the map. The center of Frances passed through Hillsborough and Pasco Counties.
