As much as I want this to be accurate, being a Kerry supporter, I'm having trouble believing any of these polls. Gallup, Pew, and Zogby have all widely disagreed recently.

I know, it's impossible to get a truely accurate poll.
Strange I just checked the following news websites:
CNN
CBS
MSNBC
ABC
FOX
Are not covering this ground breaking news. (Dang Conservative News Media)
But THANK GOD Vote Master.com has this info. Even though they don't provide much info on the polls used.

That would be because this "news" is so unscientific and speculative that in the wake of recent news credibility, they fear running this piece.
They stand by the last reliable polling data.
You know how you can make statistics say anything? Well you can do it with Polls too.
For example: If you want to conduct a poll that looks good for Democrats, you call around on a Saturday. More Dems will answer the phone. More Reps will not be home. And then there are infinite variations on how to phrase your questions.
Another good reason to look at reliable polls and not one at a time - look at a few at once and take the results in agregate.
I do wish more of these innacurate polls should get arpound though. I would just love for all the polls to show a 30 point Kerry lead. Because if they do, Dems will stay home and Reps will go vote. When polls hso wBush ahead, I get worried that Reps will get complacent.
. Not to worry, I am going driving around Ohio on November 1st reminding voters, "My name's John Kerry. Don't forget to vote for me on Wednesday!"
. In some areas I would also use the catch phrase, "My name's John Kerry and you can vote against me on Tuesday and for me on Wednesday!"

Wingman and his conservative ilk were screaming about this website the other week when bush was ahead by 88 or more votes. Even Charles Krauthammer was talking about it. Now, it's a marginal website because their guy is losing. The web master of the site gives quite a bit of info on how he selects his data, but I know you bushies have trouble reading words more than 2 syllables or sentences longer than "See Bush bomb."

That is a lie. I don't know about ilk but you cannot point to anyplace where I cite this or any 1 poll and scream about anything. Just as I state in my post above, you look at a bunch of polls and understand what is happening via the agregate. Don't try your smear tactics and reverse psychology on me!

Nice. Your "ilk" shouldn't be running anything more important than a fast food kitchen with attitudes like that. Intelligent debate? Not possible. You are unarmed.
The "Don't forget to vote for on Wednesday!" phrase only works on Republicans.
Tentatively, I step into this debate that has recently turned oh-so-intelligent and *gasp* agree with Wingman. At least in part. It's wrong to take much hope from polls. Even the Electoral college is too close to call. For a real sense of its fluctuations, click the animation for the EC polling results over the last year. And that explanation (that I am sure we all can read) admits that it is too soon for much optimism.
But I'll disagree with Wingman, as well. I wouldn't hold any hopes that any Dems likely to vote will be letting polling numbers keep them at home come election day. I still say it is going to be a sqeaker, either way. Temp fate all you want with your hubris. For my part, I'm going door to door and talking with folks about who they are voting for. Yeah, I get it shut in my face a bit. But also not. And based on my experience (unscientific as that is), there are a lot of folks who aren't sure how they're voting yet. But they seem to be tired of trickery yet are open for honest conversation and straight talk. So you and your "ilk" go try to dupe as many people as you like. I'm sure many more will call you an asshole than will respond, "Duh, okey dokey I'll be dere Wedday."

This poll and this electoral college is still too early to call for either candidate, so quit pussyfooting around the subject and just come to the conclusion that you can't trust a poll to guide your feelings, since the poll can never be 100% accurate and the only one that matters is on November 2nd PERIOD.

Don't get mad about a little joke about your intelligence by spouting back off with remarks about mine. Ah, well. They don't bother me in the least. If you can't call your opponent a moron, what's free speech for? *laugh again*
My whole point is that polls are suspect. And I think we actually agree on that one. And I did run a fast food kitchen for awhile in high school, but I don't see it as a measure of intelligence. Fast food jobs and the like are about the only ones the Bush administration has created. You want fries with that? *grin*
