I just may be the greatest GalCiv player of all time...

...or maybe not. Thing is, no one will know (even if they don't care) since nothing happens when I attempt to submit my games to the metaverse. Bought the game retail, I click the button to submit my game, I use my nickname shown here... nothing ever shows up on metaverse. Playing version 1.02.049. Any ideas?

Did you register your player with the Metaverse? It's a seperate step from registering the game and/or the forum. Go to the main metaverse page... near the top is a link that says "Register your player..." Give it a name and your CD key and try submitting your score again.

Might not work though... others have had problems with this. If you're on a dial-up internet account make sure you're connected before you try to submit as the game won't prompt you to connect.

No, *I'm* the greatest player! And I defy that pesky Metaverse to try to show up on my computer to prove it! My guess is my scores are so high that it breaks a few laws of mathematics or something.

No, *I'm* the greatest! I have done every suggestion I have heard and no luck. The Metaverse recoils in fear of my monstrously high scores.

Now *I'M* the greatest, but I've modded my GalCiv install to the point that the Metaverse would explode if I submitted a game!

Ah, crap!!! That's all I was missing this whole time??? 'Register your player' is just about the most counter-intuitive way to phrase this ... and it's tucked at the top!

This shouldn't be 'your player'; it should be "Register YOURSELF before trying to upload scores."!!! Ah, well, it works for me now. Another fun aspect of the game, even if I don't like to play big maps, etc.
