This Saturday night will be an Amazing night for football fans - whether you like the NRL code or AFL - if you're a Qlder you're in for a treat. If you don't like eiher code - shame on you move interstate now (okay so I'm kidding)
I had a look at the statistics - The one time this year the Lions played the Cats they lost 92-65 (but I'm sure they were missing key players)
- Saturday night 6:30pm it will be on - Brisbane Lions verses their feline inferiors Geelong Cats.When the Lions win tomorrow they will be in the Grand Final with the winner of tonights game - St Kilda Saints vs Port Adelaide Power. It doesn't matter who wins that we'll still win
It would be kind of funny if Port wins and there will be two non-Victorian teams playing for the Grail at the MCG
The Lions have played St Kilda 3 times already this season - first game the Saints won 92-91, second game round 21 they copped a flogging 130 - 85 and again in the Qualifying final they copped a severe flogging 149 - 69
Brisbane took on Port in round 11 only and won a convincing 123 - 86
Port has taken on just once St Kilda in round 14 and they won 93-47
and just in case the cats get the better of their superiors (hah) The cats have played Power & Saints twice -- they beat the Saints once and were beaten by Port Adelaide in both games.
Now for those NRL fans out there - This is the first year since their debut that North Qld Cowboys have been in the finals - and unfortunately for them they're playing the Broncos in an elimination final tomorrow night.
Two QLD teams playing at the home ground of the Cowboys - they last met in Townsville and the Bronco's beat the Cowboys at their home ground - 19-12
Will there be a replay?
