How many times should you visit each swing state during a campaign?

Depends your standing on the issues in the state, your awareness and how badly you need those electoral votes in that race. Generally I only have one strongly contested state in each election. I spend only enough time in those states to place ads and then I try to steal away one of my opponents states that he isn't concentrating on just in case I lose the main battle ground state.
