I'll tell you why all religions are being persecuted not just christians and jews. If the relgions of the world have their way we'll all be under their control doing what they tell us to do or they will destroy the world over the old addage "my god is better than your god". The Christian religion is one of the worst. You savior tells you to "turn the other cheek", "do good to those that hate you" Yet Christians have murdered countless people and what they did to the muslims was no less than genocide. In Ireland and the Middle East Christians still kill each other over denominational differences like Catholic and Prodestant. You came to America and created genocide upon the natives of this country and then when you ran out of them in your fear you started burning each other as witches. Anyone who can believe in the immaculate conception is a moron too me personally. My wife and her family are all zealots of christ and too me they just seem brainwashed. I mean gee who wouldn't want to not have to be accountable for their crimes and be forgiven for thier sickness ever Sunday or ever day for that matter to continue doing the same things. I will admit the church makes my wife a better person but she contiously create the same pitfalls and then is befuddled by outcome. Religion itself although allowed by our constitution is the scurge of our race. We are after all animals so I can understand killing over women or territory as a animal. How can a religion blatantly act so hypocritical and expect sympathy from people with common sense and an agnostic, atheistic or scientific standpoint? The only thing that will help our world or our race is to put aside religions and start caring and helping one another, but with greed and powerhungry predators I can't forsee this happening. I do agree we are nearing the end of our world though and that the prophecy of revalations does hold some value as did the teaching of christ, if we listen to just the teachings and put aside the self righteous indignation that accompanies religions we would be ok, but that will never happen so lets bring on the final cleansing.
