HELP!!!! MAPS DON'T SHOW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever I click on the option to select the types of ways to view the main map, such as: state wealth, popularity, electoral votes, awareness, political strategy, etc.....the map doesn't change at all!! It's the default blank one.. I'm using Windows XP with SP1 installed.......but NOT SP2... GeForce 4 Ti4200-128 MB with newest 65.62 forceware drivers DirectX 9.0c

Do you have FSAA enabled in the options or force on in your control panel? That may be messing it up.

nope...I have antisotropic and antialiasing options completely turned off on my system...

Hmmm, have you tried a re-install? Like full unistalland delete everything, reinstall and patch befopre booting? Reason I ask is during the beta, this fixed problems like that for me several times.
