I love her... Will you look at that smile? and that gold medal around her neck... that is just so sexy!!! I dont know what has come over me lately, but I am being extremely aroused by the Australian women with Gold Medals around their necks!!! I am not usually a fan of Green and Gold as far as fashion is concerned, but it brings out excellence in these people!
Jodie is only 19 years old, and she holds the world record and is the Olympic champion in the womens 100 metre freestyle. Australia has not won a gold medal in that even since Dawn Fraser back in 1952. Dawn was quite a dish back in her day, and I am sure she looked damn fine with a gold medal draped around her neck - but today, she isn't exactly my cup of tea! Jodie Henry is where its at, and I will have to fight the whole of Australia to get close to her!
I am intilled with National Pride, with great young women like Jodie, who have worked towards this moment for their entire lives, representing my great and fair nation! It makes for a goot atmosphere at work, and at the pub! I dont know what it is about Australia, and our pride when it comes to sport, I can tell you it certainly isn't an un-healthy obsession. Sport makes people happy... it's about beleiving in yourself, and beleiving in each other, and as a nation, we have a power to unite under the boxing kangaroo, get behind our athletes, and get behind each other.
The second item on our news today was how Australia *almost* beat the "Dream Team" yesterday... we didn't even win, but boy, were we all prooud of the Aussie boys, taking to the powerhouse that is the United States basketball team. The lowest money earner on the "Dream Team" can take home $6million annually... our team combined was $1million. But we took it to America, and did our nation proud. Congratulations to the USA, they were simply to good, and too freaken big... Thanks also for inspiring our whole nation to root against your boys hehe...
I wonder if I should go to Sydney when the athletes are welcomed home from their various triumphs... I am sure they will come to Melbourne as well, alas, I am sure Jodie would have been besieged by many male admirers before then! I dont think I could hook up with a swimmer anyway... they go to bed to early, and wake up way too early, it would be an inconvenience to my lifestye... In Jodies defence, I would be a hinderence to her lifestyle as well, and she needs to keep on winning gold for Australia! I dont think I mind taking one for the team! I am sure Jodie can live without me anyway!
I will just admire her, and the other athletes from a distance, revel in the spirit of the Australian nation, and be proud that we call ourselves Australians.
BAM!!!
