All my 'production' starbases, i.e those in heavily industrialized/populated sectors are babylon (I-II-II - etc) while those covering resources and/or implanted faraway for cultural conquest purposes are DeepSpace -01-02 etc

i make us names like Reflections of Dawn for Trade/ Culture bases and i give the DeepSpace(up to 9) names to far off resourse bases and Babylon(up to 5) for my industrial ones and use poetic names for the all the other ones. but you should see my fleets i name every ship other than constructers and coloney ships. they all have poetic names.

I just use Traditional Warships for my naming scheme. And leave the starbases

Victory
Lexington
Bismarck
Hood
Persephone
Invincable and the like
