Initial Issue Position and characteristics

Hello,

Is it correct that when you start a game your initial issue positions are only based on your political party, or am I missing something? It looks like to me you can only modify the characteristics, such as integrity. In my opinion it would be much more fun if you can taylor your position on issues or their relative importance before the game starts. Otherwise all democrats or republicans start exactly the same as any other democrat or republican.

Second question, is there any detailed explanations of your characteristics, such as integrity. How does integrity affect the game as opposed to credibility. A detailed explanation of all the traits would be very appreciated.

As people break the game apart this will be more apparent, and I think what you're asking will be (is?) possible. Stardock is probably swamped right now, so us players need to figure some of this out.

HINT: Many of the files are editable in notepad. Just load em up and start tinkering (may make on-line play not work with edited files though)
