i tied-why did i get the splash screen saying i lost?

what a disappointment. i was expecting a wacky splash screen spoofing the 2000 election and i got nothing except the screen saying i lost. i didn't %$#@(*&^ lose- i tied.

have i saved the autosave game if i copy the autosave.pmsave file?

I'm not sure its possible to tie.

The electoral college is set up in such a way that someone is guaranteed to get 271 votes. I don't think there is a result that can give 270-270.

269 to 269. its a tie. you have to get 270 of the 538 votes.

very possible... in 2000 had Gore won WV but lost VT it owuld have been a 269/269 deadlock... would have gone to the House for decision...

What was the popular vote? Maybe the game defaults to that in the case of a tie

If you don't get the 270 votes, you lose. In a tie it goes to the house of representatives in the real world.
