arrrggghhhh 800 by 600 and 1000 by 800 HELP! (can't get game to play on second monitor)

Ok I have big yummy 37 inch monitor (used to be a air port departure screen) I use for video games, but it only does 800 by 600. I do all my reading and work on a secondary monitor that can do what every screen size I need. PM requires 1000 x 768, which is ok, but I can't get to run on the secondary monitor. I tried "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Stardock\PolMachine\polmachine.exe w" by XP just shakes it's fist at me and screams "You can't do that". Any suggestions before I break out the kvm and start rewireing the place?

Afraid you can't get around the 1024x768 resolution. Looks like you'll be playing PolMachine on the small screen

If you set the "smaller" monitor to be your primary just before you run the game it should pop up there (especially in windowed mode). Also if you have any MultiMonitor managers such as NVIEW or something, you can have it pop up new windows on which ever monitor you like. So you can probably set it to pop up new windows on the secondary monitor and then run polMachine with the "w" switch and get it to show up there.

Just curious, when XP is shaking its fist at you, what is it saying? (Screen resolution not supported or something like that?)

I will try Nview, but the error XP was giveing me is ----- The name 'C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Startdock\PolMachine\polmachine.exe w' specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct ------ The path and file name are correct of course it just gives me that message when I toss the W in there. If worse comes to worse I am going to have to craw threw the back of all the computers and switch monitors, and then switch back again when I need to use another computer (got 6 hooked up threw a KVM with the "reading" monitor split over several channels). I will keep ya guys posted

I believe you want the "w" after the last double quote in the target path.
