PM2004 - "Failed to initialize display"

I haven't been able to play my new copy of TPM, getting a "Failed to Initialize Display" message when I try to start it up. I've gone tto my video card website and have gotten the most current drives but that hasn't changed anything.

System info:
OS: XP Home Edition
Intel 2524 Mhz processor
512 MB RAM
video card: ATI Radeon 9700

Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX. It's DirectX 9c I think. Find out what you have by going to Start->Run->dxdiag.

If that doesn't work, can you please send the debug.err file (in the political machine directory) to [email protected]. Also tell them it's for the PoliticalMachine so they can route it quickly.
