On August 10 The Political Machine began shipping.  What this means is literally the manufactured retail units began shipping from the manufacturer to stores and other resellers.

If you pre-ordered just The Political Machine after June 1, we expect to receive our boxes imminently at which point your orders will get charged and units sent out to you.

If you pre-order just The Political Machine before June 1, we should have the gold version available via Stardock Central for you to download right now while we wait for the retail boxes to arrive from Ubi Soft to send to you.  If you've lost your serial #, visit https://www.stardock.com/support.asp and type in your email addresss and it'll send you your information.

If you purchased a TotalGaming.net subscription then it should be available right now for download.

If you have any questions, post here and we'll try to answer as soon as possible.

Preordered CD in May. Receive email today that credit was being charged. Neither the 2 email sent to me today or the email I get fro Stardock Support list a serial number so that I can download the game. Is there any where I can get my serial number or at least download a demo until my cd arrives?

I've called eb two days in a row now, they have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention the game title.

Also, Nakor typed a nice ambiguous reply back on page 1, completely ignoring whether or not we could still order off the site here and download from Stardock.

Ebgames is not the great gaming store I once thought they were. If the game is not an over-hyped, over-priced ($60) flavor-of-the-week, then chances are they don't know about it, won't be getting it, and don't care. Chances are you will have to order the game online.

I just spent the extra money for a totalgaming.net package so I could have the game right away. Although pricey I think it is by far the best gaming value around when you consider all the other games you get with it.

To the Folks looking for the Demo: We've shipped a "release candidate" of the dem out to UbiSoft, so once they've tested and given it the thumbs up, you'll probably be able to get it at their site, amongst others.

At the moment, however, no demo is available for download.

Get a totalgaming.net account and download the game immediately... or.. order the game directly from Stardock (for $29.95) and receive your game via shipping. I'd be willing to bet that stores like EBgames are not going to put this game on the shelves unless it starts selling really well. All their stock is likely going towards online orders.

I think that's the skinny of it anyways, I could be wrong.

To add to what Tyveil posted, folks who order the game will have the ability to Download it from Stardock Central up until we get the boxes to ship. Following that, we'll be simply sending out the Boxed versions and the downloadable version will only be available on TotalGaming.Net.

I pre-ordered the game from Stardock and my serial numbr is not working at Stardock central what is the deal? and who do i contact to get things taken care of i am starting to think i wasted my money!!!!! I want results or my money back!!!

I had the same problem as Chappy44. I spent over two hours going through the Stardock rigamaroll downloading this and that to finally get to downloading the game, and Stardock states my serial number is invalid. I made sure to cute and paste it, so I know it wasn't anything on my end. So the 8/10 shipping date is an illusion, the boxes haven't arrived yet to send the game out, and downloading is impeded.

With regards to people asking when the game will be in stores, I contacted my local GameStop (formerly Babbage's) here in Michigan and they said they should be getting it in stock on Tuesday, August 17th.
