galciv fails to run - both galciv and altarian

Whenever i try either the galciv.exe goes to process list, but no application ever starts.....

Could you post your specs? Also, are you running out of SDCentral, or out of the start folder?

If you're attempting to play in windowed mode, note that the system has to be in 16bit color mode.

it sounds like some of the networking .dll files are missing. If you install this version of stardockCentral over top of the one that you have installed, you should be all set:
