Monster Park Event

Why is it when this event is offered you cant choose not to have it. It really bugs me when I'm playing a nice guy and taking all these growth/morale penalties when colonizing to leave native species alone, but then when I want to leave them alone for this event I cant. There really should be an option to say no its wrong to house space monsters for our colonists enjoyment and we will not support it.

The only way you can not host the event is to leave the UP before the vote comes up. But be careful, leaving the UP will not allow you to trade with the major powers.
